My expectations aren't absurd. Yours are just too low.

Quote:You expect the Jaguars to go into FA with Gabbert as the only QB on the roster. Explain how that isn't absurd.
Quote:LOL, yeah, because having Henne on the roster instead, just makes it so much better....
Hint: they're both crap.
And crap doesn't get better with quantity.
Quote:You're ignoring the point. I'm not saying he's a good QB. I'm saying that he's better than Gabbert, and you'd rather take one very bad QB into FA. Now you're deflecting.
So, again, explain how having only Gabbert isn't absurd.

Quote:WHo the hell cares if you go into FA with only Gabbert??? They both suck anyway....
WOrst come to worst and you can always pick up a veteran QB of at least that sucky level after the draft if you deem you really need one.
Quote:Signing Henne has no impact on us getting or not getting a QB in the draft.Very true
Quote:You have to be kidding, TMD.
There's no guarantee that we get Bridgewater, and Caldwell can't FORCE a FA to sign here. He's nothing more than insurance, but you're using it as a reason to knock Caldwell. You can't "always" pickup a veteran QB, and you can't "always" pickup one better than Henne. Henne is practically the same talent and production for any FA QB. The only difference is that he's familiar with the playbook and what's expected of him.
Quote:I said you can always pick up one at least on that Henne level. I didn't say better.
Quote:I disagree.
Besides, the entire point I'm making is that you'd risk going into the season without Henne or potentially a top-QB from the draft. You validate all of this because you think that you can get a QB as good or worse than Henne.... and you said you have higher expectations?

I didn't see this anywhere but here is a breakdown of Chad's contract (if it was posted on another page and I missed it I apologize). Essentially it can be a 1yr $4.5m deal.
Quote:If he makes the roster. Otherwise, they cut him and they're out only 1.5 million
Quote:LOL, yeah, because having Henne on the roster instead, just makes it so much better....Henne is a Turd, Gabbert is a big turd
Hint: they're both crap.
And crap doesn't get better via quantity.
Quote:just a little? Me a ton....Surely not signing anyone and then picking 2 qbs would be tipping his hand?
I disagree. FA Shaun Hill would have been better. Aaron Murray would have been better.
This move probably nixes the Jags selecting 2 QB in this draft too, because they won't keep 3 QB on the roster, and Aaron Murray or someone like that wouldn't be a good practice squad candidate, since he'll be scooped up quickly if placed there.
Quote:sticking with someone terrible just because they're the someone that you're used to having around sounds scared of change.
