Teddy Bridgewater is not Vince Young, he is not Jamarcus Russel and he is not Geno Smith. They have NOTHING in common. Completely different play styles, and geno never got this hype. Teddy has been a consensus top pick by every expert from DAY 1. Geno was questioned from DAY 1. The only thing they have in common is they are black.
WE ARE SCARED TO DRAFT QB, O MY GOD GET O LINE MEN CUZ GENE SMITH AND VIC AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, TEDDY LOL HE SUCKS, THE NEXT VINCE YOUNG.
You all are delusional if you think he falls out of top 5. He won't make it passed 3.
Quote:You know, this would be true if Bridgewater was only being "overrated" by this message board (i.e. Gator fans as you call it) and this message board alone.
But that simply wasn't the case...
So he's being overrated by everyone else, too?
Or are you in the crowd that thinks he's deserving of the accolades? Or is he underrated? Just trying to figure where everyone stands. As of this writing, I think he's overrated by our board, and underrated by the analysts that don't even have a first round grade on him.
Because there are some that don't.

who? everyone i see and read has him as a top selection, the random dude on a website who stirs the pot to get readers is not a magician on draft evaluations. Its been pretty clear how good of a prospect Bridgewater is, is he a luck prospect? No, but he has had very good ratings and i have not seen a mock or an expert have him outside of the top 5. He is no Geno. And the comparisons are hilarious because all you guys are doing is looking ignorant with the black QB comparisons.
'Being scared to draft a quarterback' is the absolute stupidest phrase I've seen. If anything, it's about drafting the RIGHT quarterback this year.
And to those offended because of a supposed racial thing between Bridgewater and Smith. Bull crap. It's because people are salivating over Bridgewater the same way, if not worse, as they were with Smith.

Geno and Bridgewater have nothing in common. Sorry, its ignorant and stupid. You can quote me too. Not only are you afraid to draft a QB you can't even argue like man!!!
Nobody was salivating over Geno Smith other than maybe a few people. Did a lot of people want to draft him? Sure. But that's mostly because of how desperate we are for a Quarterback. This team is so desperate for a Quarterback that people have wanted to trade for Andy Dalton. That's how desperate the situation is. Because somebody has to be better than Henne and Gabbert. I mean they have to.
Bridgewater looks much better as a prospect than Geno Smith. To compare the two is ridiculous.
Quote:Fear of drafting a QB is real on this board and it's stupid.
After seeing how well Leftwich and Gabbert turned out, can you blame anyone on this board for being a bit scared of the position?
Quote:Geno and Bridgewater have nothing in common. Sorry, its ignorant and stupid. You can quote me too. Not only are you afraid to draft a QB you can't even argue like man!!!
What?? The main thing they have in common is the fact that they were by far over rated from the beginning of the College Football season. There's no denying that. Bortles will get picked over Bridgewater being that he has more upside. The fact remains that the top QBs aren't that far apart and I sure hope the Jags don't over draft one of them at the number three spot with elite players still left on the board.

If the prospect was a geno, then yes, you are hesitant, Bridgewater, is no Geno, or Gabbert. He is no sure fire prospect, but he is a good prospect who is going to be going into a really good situation in Houston. He is smart and intelligent, does not scramble, can, but actually just sits in the pocket and makes the throws. His only knock so far is he may be a smaller than someone like Gabbert. But size tells the tale in the NFL!!!!!

Yes, because the men who made those decisions are gone.
Guess we shouldn't draft Clowney, because Derrick Harvey.
Or any Wide Receiver because of all the WR's we drafted back then.
DT's are out too. Tyson Alualu just wasn't worth a top 10 pick.
Safety? Reggie Nelson.
That leaves... Offensive Line, Runningback, Tight End, Linebacker... and a few others for the first round picks

If somebody is calling to trade for Dalton then they obviously haven't seen him play.

Argue like a man. Lololololol.
Because I didn't respond directly to your post. Hey Einstein. You weren't the first person to say that in this thread so I made a blanket response.
You also weren't the first to make the assinine, dumb, ridiculous, foolish statement that people are 'scared to draft a QB'. If that's what it takes to be 'manly', I'll just stay how I am because that is absolutely [BLEEP].
Was that more 'manly' for you Einstein?

Your delusional, you really are. Bridgwater has been the top graded QB since DAY 1. Geno NEVER EVER EVER got this hype. And while some wanted him, most experts QUESTIONED HIS WORK ETHIC AND ABILITY way before the draft. Bridgewater is non Luck prospect, but the guy has been graded out consistently as the best in this class. In a much more deeper class. There are 3 QB in my eyes who really can become franchise QB.
1. Bridgewater
2. Manziel
3. Bortles
Bridgwater is the most pro ready, Manziel is a boom or bust player, but I'm telling you, his risk is worth the reward and Bortles i see as being a good pro, like a Big Ben.

You look like the idiot by making it a racial issue. That's the way your ignorant [BLEEP] sees it, not others.

Geno is Bridewater, even though nothing of their play styles dictates that. O HAHAHAH BRIDGEWATER SUCKS HES GENO HAHAH, HES VY TOO HAHA TAKE O LINEMEN

Exactly...those three QBs are comparable and no one has an edge on the other. That's why I'm advocating the selection of an elite player at three, like a Matthews, Clowney, Barr, Mack, or Watkins. Then see who drops to the late twenties and move up from there to select the QB. We have plenty of firepower to move up from that #39 spot so to reach for the QB @3 would be ridiculous as I've stated continually as of late.

I'm there with you on Bridgewater, actually. I think he's the only QB in this draft worth a top-ten pick, and I'm not personally afraid of the position because Shack and Gene couldn't draft their way out of a paper bag, even if you gave them a pair of scissors. Bridgewater's played at a consistently high level for a couple of seasons now. The type of QB that scares me is the "fast riser" who looks better because the class around him isn't all that great. You know, guys like Gabbert and Bortles.
Quote:Atleast you swalloed your pride!!!!
Wow. That makes a lot of sense.

GOO GOO GA GA. Who ever said their play style was the same? Brain injury lately?
