And love is blind.

I never  got the Geno love. But Bridgewater is much better than him as a prospect.
Quote:You keep quoting the same dude. Come up with something new, or better yet your OWN evaluations.
Per rotoworld:

Quote:An AFC college scouting director told NFL.com that he wouldn't be comfortable using the No. 1 pick on Louisville junior QB Teddy Bridgewater."He's accurate, poised, smart, productive," the scout said. "The body type is the concern. You're gonna have to see him at the combine. He looks small and skinny to me. But he gets rid of the ball so quick and makes such good decisions, maybe you can live with that. If I had the first pick, I don't know that I'd see it, but if you're comfortable with his body, I can see where you would do it." Another AFC college director called Bridgewater, "a second-rounder. Shorter and smallish in size, but he has solid arm strength, he's a good athlete, solid accuracy. Not dynamic or a special talent, but he has NFL starter-caliber skills, and he's a good kid with all the intangibles." Wrote NFL.com's Albert Breer: "Louisville lists him at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds -- and if you know anything about how football coaches do measurements, you know it's a good bet he's at least a little shorter and lighter than that."

Geno ran an air raid offense, it was obvious to a knowledgeable football person he would struggle
Quote:I still think he is the best QB in an okay QB class. But that's not saying much. He's not worth the hype and praise I see in this board on a daily basis.

Just a question for the two of you. If Clowney is gone in the first two and the next ranked QB is taken before Bridgewater and he's there for our 3rd, what would you do? The next available QB or a DE and a QB in the later rounds. Who are some college prospects that you'd pick and why?

See what I did here?
Quote:Why isn't he?

It takes much, much more than that to "prove" he is.  He certainly doesn't pass the eye test.  Someone who answers a question with a question, has no answer.

He's got the body type of a slim jim, and his numbers are similar to other QBs in Shawn Watson's system.  From Watson's bio:

"Joe Ganz set single-season school records for total yards with 3,826, and passing yards with 3,568 in 2008. He threw for 25 touchdowns while completing 67.9 percent of his passes, finishing his career with more than 20 NU records."  http://www.gocards.com/sports/m-footbl/m...awn00.html

Teddy's numbers as a senior:

3970 yards, 31 TDs, and 71%

Hmm...

That's my point. There is no consensus on TB. Could the same be said for that certain QB in '98?

Ganz was weak armed and no pocket presence, horrendous comparison.

Anyone who uses stats instead of their eyes to justify their argument has a snaked tongue

He is as close as you will get to one.

BAP.  It's all about value.  Reaching and desperation get you burned every time.  I don't see his value in the top 10.  BAP isn't best available position, it's best available player.  Off topic, but I obliged.  If he's such a "knockout" prospect (which he wouldn't be if he fell that far... didn't happen with Luck, etc., etc.) then certainly someone would be foolish enough to trade up if they've fallen in love with him like some seem to think will happen.

Sorry, but I don't use my tongue to evaluate QBs.  But... duly noted.

If you aren't intelligent enough to understand the comparison is the output and not style of play, well then the conversation is way over your head and you'll never understand why.
Pirk you should do a breakdown of Teddy Bridgewater, what attributes you do and don't like.  All that jazz. Because I've seen you thrown around some stuff out of the blue when it comes to TB.

And Stupidity is Blatantly Obvious.

This is pretty laughable
Waiting for Pirk to just come and say he doesn't like black QBs. He won't be the first poster on here who has expressed those sentiments.

So the guy knocked his body. Again, when you can't find any negative traits, you have to find another way to criticize him I guess. Same goes for Pirk. "Let's see, there is nothing about his skill set or play on the field I can use against him..... I've got it, I'll give all the credit for his stellar play to an offensive coordinator that actually nerfed his talents". No respect for the detractors that can't point out one single negative trait. You guys get the gas face.

Wait for the numbers at the combine. Personally I think he's about 6-1 and thats too short for the top picks.

he was 6'3 coming out of high school...
I swear people decide to make up stuff in an attempt to justify their own biases

Don't believe HS or College measurements.
