Eugene Monroe was not going to resign with this team. Hooray for recouping value. About time we did some of that.

So easy a caveman could see it.

You'd at least think so.
Quote:QB is a no brainer in the first round.

What I meant by OL/DE being the focus was in rounds 2-7.

Who is the woman in your sig?
I hope all Jag fans now realize that this seasons is not about winning it's all about cleaning house for next years draft. I'm sure Bradley would love to improve the team this year but that is not the focus of Caldwell this year. it's all about stripping the paint down to the wood and then restoration in the coming draft. The worst thing this team could have done is try to bring in players to salvage this year. Better to take your lumps all at once then stretch it out over two years. This is the right way to rebuild a team, my hats off to Caldwell and Bradley will have to take it on the chin this year he has no chance of fielding a competitive team.

I wish I knew why Weaver stuck with Gene for so damn long.

a lot of us feels monroe deserved more than what we got

Quote:Jags need the picks, the offensive line is an absolute joke anyway, Uche is trash, Will is trash, Meester was solid and should not have been re-signed. I say start Brewster, bring Nowak back. How could it be worse than the status quo? Richard Collier could play better today than these bums. Shake it up!

I have to admit - I did laugh at the Richard Collier comment.

And I'm not sure why, but I bet he would as well.

A lot of you are wrong.

You guys are the ones that continue to look at the situation unrealistically. The best deal on the market for Brandon Albert was 3rd round pick, why would you expect equal or even more compensation for Monroe?

Not applicable.

uhhh obviously

that doesnt make it the right decision

we used the number 2 overall pick to replace a player we are letting walk

BRILLIANT... on a team with 2 wins, and soon to be ZERO wins, instead of getting better,we are more concerned with not paying money to one of the few solid players on the team... and by solid i mean NFL roster worthy, of which there are only a handful on this team

There is another thing called team doesn't think player is that good.  Obviously, Monroe at this time, is no longer in this teams future.  As a report stated, he does not fit well in zone blocking and played "soft".

Doesn't make it the wrong decision.  Don't you have to be concerned paying a player top 5 money when you don't think he is playing well?

Yes, I have.  About $10M for a LT.

Swing, and a miss.
