I'm now expecting to hear Hurns has gotten cut or traded in the next few hours.

Lee
Moncrief
Hurns?
Westbrook
Cole
Mickens
Rookie
I think Mickens is gone.

With the way he played on special teams and then at WR in a pinch there's no way they cut him. Hurns is the goner. They'll keep 5 receivers or 6 if a rookie shows good promise.
Source: Donte Moncrief's one-year deal with the Jaguars will have a base salary of ~$7M, with a maximum value of $9.6M with incentives.
One year deal?
So trading Hurns for Moncrief pretty much
Ryan Grant WR from the redskins signed with the ravens. 4yr-29mil. Never even heard of the non-RB Ryan grant. WRs getting crazy money.

I hope not
Reggie Wayne on NFLN praised the Moncrief signing. Said he could become one of the better WRs in the league if he can stay healthy.

And just exactly how often do you see people in the NFL that have been injury plagued all of a sudden become and stay healthy for a long period of time? Typically... never. Luckily we really don't need him if he goes down so I think that's the overall point.

40 time -> 4.40
Vertical Jump -> 39.5
ACL Tear -> NO
Hamstring -> YES
Shoulder Sprain -> YES

...... still better than an ACL tear.  Other than Macklin, I'm not certain what WR returned to rare form after an ACL tear.

yeah I remember I had him tagged as a potentially good pick back when he was a rookie.  He has deep speed (something ARob didn't) and he can still jump with the best of them.

I like that he's a big body.  Don't dislike the signing at all.
Does anyone here really think Moncrief + Lee > Arob? For a few more million even...
ARob didn’t want to be here folks. He’s a "me" not a team guy. Would have likely ditched the Jags for the same offer plus an Arby’s coupon. I’d rather pay Norwell who chose us over the Giants despite it being ~New York~. TC has made it clear. Don’t wanna be here? Bye. The culture has changed. Be apart of it or walk.

Yes

Then why was he disappointed he didn't get a chance to stay here on the tag?
Has there been an actual report in what the Jags offered him?

Because the thing to do now is trash players who decide to sign elsewhere and not give the home team a discount.

If people are so inclined to do that (which I disagree with, these guys owe you or the team nothing) its been reported that we actually offered Colvin similar money to what he got with Houston and he went to a rival.

+ Norwell, yes

Well, if we could afford Norwell + ~16.5 mil w/ those WRs we could have still afforded Norwell + ~14 mil for Arob (or 16 mil franchise).

Im happy. i didnt think we would be this active in FA(cause i didnt think we had the space), but this has been a fun day... very happy with the Norwell and Moncrief signings.

With the franchise tag, we would have only been prolonging his inevitable departure.
I like Monqueefs TD celebrations.

because it was more money that the offers he would get. ARob has an agent, I'm pretty sure he knew what the market would be like.
