Is Lynch a good GM? He tried to make Jimmy G. a franchise QB and now they are ready to dump him. They are almost as bad as we are.

Shanahan comes from a coaching family. He came from within the NFL. Meyer has no experience in the NFL at all, has a history of health problems, left Ohio State partly due to a domestic violence cover up from one of his assistant coaches and has a history of quitting jobs. That's a big difference between Shanahan. If you were a top GM prospect would you want to be saddled with Meyer? I certainly wouldn't.
Wait. Are you serious?

Have you seen the 49ers roster? It’s absolutely stacked at every level except QB. They just went to a SB and almost won.

Outside of QB, what’s their weakness?

Honestly, their main issue was trying to stay healthy.

Their roster has been decimated by injuries from top to bottom.

The 49ers have had insane injuries this year.  They're one of the most talented teams in the league.  How can you possibly believe we're almost on the same level?

OLine is awesome.
RBs are good.
WRs are young but very talented. 2nd best TE. Great DLine. LBs are good and secondary is elite.

Where’s the bad roster? Lol

I definitely agree with you.

Their problem was basically outside of roster management.
We know how much Khan admires Bill Bellichek. Bellichek and Urban have been close and B.B. has constantly sung his praises. It is not a surprise that Urban will be named head coach. As much as I dislike Urban for a multitude of reasons, the guy can coach. For those who say he has never coached in the NFL, we will soon find out whether this is a valid argument against him. Personally, I believe he will end up being a good hire. He may burn out after 3 years, but if he helps get the Jaguars to the Super Bowl who will care?

Hopefully when the Chargers hire him.

Good Lord, I hope you're right!

Sounds more like we are bunting.

That would be sticking with Marrone.  Very high upside in a Meyer higher along with a high risk

I don't think so. All of this rumor mill fodder is being perpetrated by click bait-hungry pundits.

O-zone has called the sources claiming that the Jaguars are considering Meyer to be "reputable".  He is not the type to spread false rumors.  It doesn't mean the Jaguars have 100% hired Meyer, but I think it is safe to say that he is being considered.

Khan has interviewed a couple of minorities for the general manager position.  If he gave Meyer the head coach/general manager title, wouldn't the rule have been satisfied?

Good point about the GM interviews.

You've got a really good point about Johnny O. That guy usually doesn't talk about anything until after it happens (or doesn't happen).
Footage of me now refreshing the screen to see if Marrone and staff are fired yet:

Like I said earlier, I feel like this Urban Meyer crap is just that.

A bunch of crap being thrown around as unsubstantiated rumors.

I realllly hope this is the case. Also, why hasn't the news broke yet that Morrone and co. are out?
In trump voice. Ya fired!
Do not want Urban as HC, won't last three years.

Shad is either completely out of touch with this team, or he straight up lied to Marrone.

They meet on Monday. I'd imagine that's when he tells him thank you and good bye.
Football night in America specifically mentioned Pioli as a strong candidate to be GM if Urban does get the job.
Not a fan of Urban, but I’ll support the hire if that’s who it winds up being.
