If he makes us better I say why not. I have always liked Tebow. Not even a Gator fan either. It isn't like our TE's have been producing like Gonzalez or Sharpe these last few years.
After enough drinks, or even celebratory drinks of the first pick, we’ll all be saying “ye..yeah, brin in da gata.  I love Tim!  Let’s get the band back t-gather!   Mike,  I love you man!”

How is a guy who's 33 years old, who has never played the position before and hasn't played football in nearly 10 years going to make us better? We'd be far better off getting a look at an UDFA TE in camp over wasting a roster spot on Tebow during camps. There's absolutely no way he'd ever make the 53man roster. It'd just be flat out pathetic and embarrassing if they signed Tebow.
Boy does Jim Brown sound bad.
I wouldn't worry about that.

He's getting old. A buddy of mine works security at Jags games. He told me once when Jim Brown came to a game, he walked past everyone without being recognized.
I hope he gets a shot and makes the teams just so I can see the haters melt down.

Haters = people who are being realistic
Just let Tebow talk of any kind die..... please
He tried baseball and recently retired. Batted .163 in the minors last year. I guess he is looking to milk some publicity.

Exactly
I think drafting Etienne, assures that Tebow will be here. Urban's getting the band back together (Urban, Trevor, Etienne, Tebow)
Assuming he can adjust to the position, why not? As others have posted, we have gotten zilch from the position since Lewis left. Its not like he's taken a lot of body blows in the Minors. I'm looking for Urban to draw up a TE end-around with a run pass option to Chark or Etienne. Or maybe a pass back to Lawrence in the corner end zone. I'd put my money on a 6'6" lawrence outjumping 80% of the cb's in the league. Assuming of course, that Tebow can get the pass in there lol
I think it's pretty ironic Tebow would want to come play for the coach that was probably a large part of why he had such a terrible professional career.

I do think he's a good athlete with the "It" factor. Regardless of what you think about Tebow, that run he did with the Broncos was pretty sweet, even if he looked ugly through most of it.. But he failed at being a TE in his prime with a coaching staff far more talented than what we got here. Not sure how this is anything other than a cash grab for him.
I hear Lebron James would be backing him up.
Hahaha Dan Hicken says after being at the stadium last night he has the feeling that the Jags will sign Tebow.

I wonder if the Jags really would sign him.

I'd rather get Rodgers to play TE.
I see absolutely no harm in bringing him in for training camp if there is any potential there at all. If he’s not good enough he doesn’t make the roster. It’s not really a big deal either way, not sure why people are getting upset about it

We need a guard, so hopefully he can bulk up a little.
I can't believe people want a 33 year-old project that's never played the position.

Then we talk about 'trick plays' when passing was arguably the weakest part of his game. Not even a 48% career passer in the NFL.
