Like I said. He was hurt.  He only played 12 games and had a lingering hamstring injury.   You're not gonna be 100% with a lingering hamstring injury.

getting old is a bear.

not sure one could expect that trend to change, especially if the contract to land him is for >1 season.

He played hurt in those games, but he did look bad. Was he bad cause he was playing hurt, was he bad because it was an awful situation and he was frustrated, was he bad because he's aged some and taken a beating and just doesn't have as much left in the tank? It's a scary question.
If that is the case, I really don't want him. It means he is a headcase that let's outside influences effect his play. Not good. If he was hurt and kept playing, that hurt his team. He would've been better off sitting out than playing so poorly. If he doesn't have much left in the tank, that would be bad as well. It's a no-win situation with him. I take a hard pass.

Remember how Robinson was caught on camera yelling at Blake Bortles? Trevor is gonna make some mistakes, he's young. Do we really wanna bring some "diva type" WR in here to mess with Lawrence's head if he makes a mistake?

This is absolutely not a worry for me. You can tell in the demeanor of this team that the entire team is behind TLaw. I could never say that with Bort. Everyone seemed to be standing aside to see just how he was gonna screw up this time.

TLaw is in command of this team, and at least thusfar there doesn't seem to be discontent among the ranks with respect to his role as team lead.
After seeing what we paid in Zay Jones and Kirk, this trade seems way more appealing + drafting a WR over spending as much as we did on WR.

We will see how it works out though.

So are you assuming we wont draft a WR now just because of the Kirk and Jones deals?

I believe WR is still going to be a priority in the draft regardless of what happened in FA. This WR room needed a major overhaul.
Jameson Williams, Jahan Dotson, Treylon Burks, George Pickens & Christian Watson are very much in play at pick 33.

John Metchie III, David Bell, Jalen Tolbert & Alec Pierce are also in play at picks 65 or 70.
Trade picks #33 and #65 to move up into round 1 and draft Drake London, Jameson Williams, Chris Olave or Garrett Wilson. That's the only way I see us getting the passing game on track.

I'm 100% on board with this for Drake, Jamo or Olave. Not sure about Wilson.

Steeep price to pay. That WR has to leave no doubt in the war room.

With the need for a #1 receiver, those are the only guys I see as true #1's. I certainly don't wanna go into next season with Kirk and Jones as our two top receivers. Ugh!

And he will fail miserably and set the team back another year or two.

/preemptively pops bag of popcorn
Isn't there normally a major WR cut in camp every year as well?

Come on man.

I know this franchise hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt but you can't be this negative all the time. Enjoy some of it at least. Trevor to Pickens..... FOR 6!

I can't enjoy it if it's Pickens. There are only 2 WR's in this draft that I hate to the point where they aren't even on my draft board and that's Pickens and Ross. This is such a loaded WR class, I can take us drafting literally anybody, but those two guys.

I'm only negative when it comes to this team and that's because I'm so tired of losing.
