Yeah I was on the fence, but this shows we better keep Chark.
Until Pederson turn this culture and rep around, players aren't lining up to come here. We're stuck with cast-off players and hoping we hit on a draftee or a hidden diamond.
I'm not going to lie Arob scares me. He was never the best separator and he takes more of a beating going airborn for those 50/50 balls than pretty much any other receivers. He might just be on the downhill physically already. I am worried we could find ourselves in a Golladay type situation if we're paying 18-20M per year for him.
I know everyone says Gallup back to the Cowboys is a foregone conclusion, but why? I don't think they are going to come to a long term deal before legal tampering starts on Monday, why not just throw a 15-16M AAV offer out there? I'd offer similar to get Chark back too. Do another 8-10M for Gage and I'd much rather do that than give Arob an Amari or Mike Williams deal.

I could get behind Gallup Chark and Gage.
However, I’m still not opposed to ARob. They can not walk into next season with Marvin Jones and Shenault as the only vets and then a few rookies.
Cooper was had for 2 6ths and a 5th lmfao gotta be kidding me.
EDIT: Lmao wait, it was a 5th and they swapped 6ths.. nvm its even worse then I thought.

And the reason he isn't a Jaguar is because the most hated man in the NFL lied to us about giving up his penny pinching ways.

Jones is better than Gallup and Gage. I do hope we can bring back Chark but I think it's to late and he wants to test the market.
Jones is better than Gallup and Gage, I can't imagine living life completely enslaved to your biases like this.

Browns paying $20M a year for a WR2 who gives questionable effort.

On a team with a QB that could very well be on his last leg in Cleveland who really didn't look all that great with guys like Landry and Beckham Jr. to throw it around to.

Yes Jones is better. Only if he had some help around him. Gallup had Cooper and Lamb and was a good number 3. Jones is a proven decent number 2 if he can have someone opposite him and some weapons around him.

We haven't even started free agency and Baalke is already screwing up!

I'd rather not take on 20m each year for the next three years for him.
And maybe I'm crazy, but I would like to see them work on a contract with Chark before they start targeting other receivers. Giving Bortles a contract extension and not even being willing to talk with Ramsey about his is what soured Ramsey on us. Focus on the players we have now and take care of them and then work on trades/FA.

Getting Chark back is fine. I want him back too, but you have to admit, he has a history of injuries. Can he be counted on to be a #1 WR the entire season without getting hurt? Unless one of the top WR's miraculously falls to #33, I don't see any other way we find a true #1 WR without trading for one.

Miraculously falls? I don't think it's a stretch, there are a few really good WRs at the top. I think one of Olave, Dotson, or Watson willfall

I'm not saying that we shouldn't try to trade for another receiver. I'm saying that I would like to see the team put a focus on resigning the talent currently on the team that we want to keep.
I can't believe so many on this board wanted Amari Cooper for 20 million per year. smh

Of those guys, I only believe Olave is a true, immediate #1. He should be the 3rd WR off the board in round 1. I like Dotson, but I think he goes in round 1 as well. I like Watson a lot, but I think he takes a while to develop. I don't see him coming in and putting up anything close to Ja'Marr Chase numbers in year one or even year 2. We need someone who can be a true #1 in 2022.
