Suddenly, the kirk deal feels even dumber.

Especially dumb, considering the Titans just acquired Robert Woods for a measly 6th round pick in 2023. I'd take Woods over Kirk 100% of the time.

Robert Woods woulda been nice aswell but man, I cannot believe they got AR-15 that cheap... I kind of gave up on the idea of us signing him after Kirks deal, figured he'd want north of that but nope.

AR had the worst season of his career last year- 38 receptions for 410 yards and 1 TD.

I think he's a good player, and one can make all kind of excuses for such a bad season in 2021, but facts are facts.  He's coming off a really lousy season.

Taven is a pick you make when you look at spider charts and SPARQ scores

He is actually rated higher than the current GM in draft success. Taven was picked because of measurables, not because of success on the field. Coaches thought they would be the ones to make it click for him. Now he is off to another team for the same reason.

Everyone overlooked what was between his ears, or the lack of anything there. Not sure that he even really likes football other than it allowing him to not have to work.

You don't think he was willing to sign with the Super Bowl champs for less than he would have demanded of the Jags?
The Jaguars were looking to get faster at the WR position and AR 15 can’t run any more.
Baalke said we got 6 out of 7 targets, ARob could of been the one we missed on

The miss was reportedly Chase Edmonds

Oh ok, I missed that
ARob wasn’t ever a speed guy. He’s a decent sized go up and get the ball target. I think he worked well briefly with bortles because of this. Bortles wasn’t a throw a guy open, hit him in stride type of QB. Trevor should be that QB.

Not saying that ARob wouldn’t be productive here, but I want to see more than curl routes and 50/50 balls out of this offense. Whatever ARob has left in the tank, I think it’s safe to say Kirk has more along with the expectation that he’s still an ascending player. That’s what you pay for. Neither are probably top 15 guys. Hopefully the way the draft unfolds affords us an opportunity to get a guy that will be top 15 in a year or two.
Trevor needs an over priced aged guy who can mentor the other wide receivers. Nah keep going with potential at this stage. I think Balke still needs to go but what do I know.

There are a lot of nice compliments in that article.  If he possesses all of these great qualities, my question is why has his production been so low?  He has averaged less than 306 yards and 1 TD per season over the last three years.  He played in a minimum of 15 games each season, so it wasn't like he was injured.

Ummm, Hopkins, Green, Larry Fitzgerald before that maybe?

I think you're thinking of Christian Kirk.  Zay Jones played for the Raiders.

Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow are the answers you're looking for here.

I understand but what no one wants to mention is that he was playing with Justin Fields who threw only 1,800 yards and 7tds last year.. and I believe Andy Dalton for a couple games. His down year was a victim of circumstance lets be honest.

I am hoping he didn't get the targets because of some kind of bias at work, much like we saw with Wingard playing over Cisco last year.

Edmons stats are interesting. Very low yards/att but his YPC is pretty good. Guess he's never had a heavy load.

He was traded mid season from the Bills to Raiders in 2019.

Jones only played 27% of the Offensive snaps in 2020. He was behind Darren Waller, Nelson Agholor, Hunter Renfrow and Henry Ruggs.

He played 56% of the Offensive snaps this year. He was again behind Waller, Renfrow and Ruggs. Zay then jumped into Ruggs' spot when he decided to make a stupid decision after week 7. Zay was only averaging about 20% of the Offensive snaps before Ruggs went out.

A big part of their Offense goes through Josh Jacobs at RB as well.

I wish we could've kept Chark instead of signing Zay Jones. AR 15 will probably produce a few TDs for the Rams, but Kupp will still be the guy. If OBJ returns, AR 15 will be the 3rd or 4th option in that offense.
