Ok, ok I can see your point here. The issue here is the organizations that promote secretly  indoctrinating and giving minors hormone drugs. Why secretly? well because in most states that is against the law as it should be.  So Target is funding a criminal organization ?  I would think since target is essentially paying these guys if they are caught then Target and the organization should be liable. Arrest the CEO, that should get their attention.

Most overrated restaurant in the world.  Prices doubled AND their Chick-Fil-A sandwich has decreased in size by 25%.  They simply made the bun smaller so people would not notice the same correlation to the size of their chicken decreasing.

I agree with this. I like them here and there but not enough to merit them being THE go-to for a fast food fix on my end. It's the service and politeness that usually sell you on them as a chain though. It's seldom I ever run across a bad location with bad service that's lagging behind or an order missing anything.

The overall quality of their sandwich has gone down though in my opinion. This is between the locations I go to on Beach/Hodges, Philips Highway & Atlantic/San Pablo.
The only thing good about Chick-fil-A was their sauce.

Ordinary chicken at best..
Spicy chicken deluxe sandwich, waffle fries with Chik-fil-A sauce and a frosted lemonade. I only eat it because I haven’t figured out how to get it straight into a vein.
20 years ago I hated chick fil a. They didn't have the spicy back then, nor did they offer hot sauce. I've mellowed out since then, many days I dont want spicy things anymore. They added the spicy chicken and the hot sauce for when I'm in the mood, but their standard sandwich has grown on me too.
I know people who hold the whole "closed on Sundays" thing against them, and also people who love them for that reason. I don't care either way. They're reliable and tasty and clean and courteous.

From the "Did You Know" category": Did you know that there is an active group promoting Community Health Improvement that is working ZIP Code by ZIP Code to improve the Social Determinates of Health? If you did know that, did you also know that one of their key initiatives in the restaurant/fast food space is to get ownership to agree to 20% reductions in serving size? Then get pledges from people in those ZIPs to only eat 80% of what's in the serving? In Jacksonville they are about to kick off the local initiative this Saturday at the fairgrounds targeting 5 zips on the north, west, and east sides of town. It's interesting to me just how comprehensive their plans are to improve health by instituting forced changes to our way of life.

If you're interested in seeing how well intentioned people use government policy to force you to make better choices you can head downtown Saturday at 9am.

Yeah, if the government wants to force anyone they should force stores to stop selling crap food.

They absolutely shouldn't allow crap food to be bought on SNAP cards or allow SNAP cards to be used in convenience stores. I see people with carts of soda and junk food mixed in with frozen pizzas and other crap food and they buy it all with a SNAP card. I guess the Nutrition part of that acronym is lost on people. They should still be called food stamps or food card because what is being bought certainly isn't nutritional.

But thats a whole different rabbit hole to dive down.

It was a response to others' concerns about religious influence as opposed to the trans crazy influence happening at warp speed.

I can't say I've ever seen a religious group force companies to do their bidding as the progressive left has with this trans stuff, the blm stuff, etc. Not without being provoked anyway. I could be wrong since I don't pay much attention to this stuff unless someone posts it here. I don't scour the internet for news stories.

I personally don't care where it comes from, be it religious or secular, I do not like being strong armed into tolerating, liking or accepting anything and I will not comply. Even if I agree with their views I will not support them or defend them forcing themselves on folks.

I used to feel less strongly about this but 2020 up to now has done a number on me. All of the ham-fisted demands of compliance for everything from Covid to black lives matter to this trans stuff and more has made me feel less tolerant about things than I used to be. It started before 2020 but that's when the hammer came down on a lot of the general discontent I feel these days about a lot of things.

It does drive me nuts that folks don't want to see things as they are because it doesn't fit with how they want to see or think about things. I had my head in the sand about what kids are learning, or not, in schools because (a) we don't have kids and (b) I didn't want to believe it. I have friends who are now homeschooling their kids because their kids were coming home asking questions about stuff they were being told in the classroom. I can't speak for other places, only what happens here with people I know and I had to finally get my head out of the sand and realize these things are happening.

Sorry about the long and random mind dump. Got a lot on my mind I guess.

Yeah. It's a joke with how they treated those ladies. She actually tied with that he-man and they gave him the spotlight on the podium instead of her having it equally for PR reasons. I shared a in depth video on her story not too long ago back in April somewhere around here.

It's this one here I think with Crain & Co.

You can't sell fruit. You can sell junk food other places.

Saw someone that in states with high bottle fees, the junkies will use the benefits to buy cases of water and then dump them out and return the bottles immediately.

It's a vicious cycle.  Very hard to make money selling fresh fruits and vegetables with short shelf lives.  Very easy to lose it.  Kids grow up poor not eating them, and as adults they don't desire them because they're not accustomed to them.

The WIC program was supposed to be like food stamps but healthier. And it does steer poor people in one particular stage of life to healthier breakfast ceareal, at least. I could dream up a program that would subsidize fresh fruits and vegetables for the poor, but no powerful lobbyist would push that through, because there are so many small and regional competing growers and packers and too many poor people would say "thanks but no thanks"

Or more simply said, the players who vote in these programs are financially rewarded by the people who profit most by being heavily invested in selling chips and soda.
I could be wrong about the fruits and vegetables being more regional. There are definitely more brands, compared to the big three that dominate breakfast cereal, the big two that dominate soft drinks, and the big two that dominate chips. But I just checked my labels and my fresh veggies came from Canada, Mexico, Oregon, and NC. I don't know if that's bad on other levels but it indicates these folks could nationally consolidate and get themselves good lobbyists.
