Fear? Oh I'm sure that poor girl was [BLEEP] terrified..

Sounds to me like you've been exposed to manufactured ignorance if you think this is a lone incident..

Or you've seen a few dozen such incidents hyped out of proportion enough to believe they are the norm.

How would the rape of a child being muled into the country be "hyped out of proportion"?

Can't make an omelet without cracking a few eggs, right?

The frequency of such incidents is hyped out of proportion.

I'll refer you to the "few bad apples" argument whenever cops mistakenly beat people to death.

Cuts both ways.

The takeaway of your alleged incident SHOULD BE that we might not have so many kids having to be snuck in via cartel coyotes if we didn't pull them from their parents and stick them in cages at the border for weeks and months on end.

The cartels will always be a problem, and border regulation needs reform. Ending immigration and/or shipping away immigrants between states is not the answer.  In fact it can exacerbate the the frequency of the incident you have introduced to the discussion.

Anyway - I'll try to let the topic get back to gay beer marketing

And how do you know this? Are you on the other side of the border, handing out Bud Lights to these illegals while you take surveys?

"How was your trek?"
"How many times were you raped?"
"How much did you pay the cartel?"
"How much fentanyl do you have on your person?"

Get the hell out of here.. You KNOW it's a rampant problem and to play it down makes you sound like a jackass.

Now, go back to your gay beer..

How do you KNOW it's a problem besides certain talking heads telling you it is?
You don't know.
You believe the spin you want to believe.

You're just licking up warm milk from the little fear bowl like a starved kitten because the people you want to believe are spinning it that way for you.

Makes you sound very gullible.

Fentanyl is just the latest in a long line of drugs to surge in popularity with dealers, users and distributors.
Every substance through the decades went through a process of increased traffic followed by more regulated control and seizure by federal agencies.
Which is why we are seeing more seizures of this one now. Nothing new under the sun.
But if certain conservatives can make it a platform by convincing millions to be scared of a new threat crossing the border - they'll use it. And many will fall right in line.

Did you think there were magically fewer instances of illegal crossings and rapes of illegal immigrants four years ago?
This [BLEEP] hasn't changed. It's the same old song and dance and it's easy for the fear mongers to peddle this tripe to the masses.

Tell me you're daft without telling me..

Jeezus.. Maybe pull your head out of CNN's [BLEEP] and try doing a little research.

Yes, it has been happening for decades, but turning your liberal cheek doesn't make the problem go away and with more waves of illegals comes more of these cases.

Enjoy your bud light..

You found articles dating back four years that in no way express this problem is any more rampant than it ever was.

OK

We don't need to do this whole "you believe all the wrong stuff, and I believe all the right stuff thing."
You're never going to think differently about anything based on my posting.

Just drop it.

Been using this gif an awful lot lately.. Very fitting.
With the US border, and the question of if it is "secure", you're never going to find any satisfying data.
You will only find the number of people who were caught, and what happened after they were caught.
The debate that the media keeps baiting us into is "how many weren't caught." And we will never actually know that.
Fox News wants you to assume that fewer people were able to sneak in under Trump, compared to the number under Obama. Perhaps that's true. All we know is that the number of people who were caught went up. Then it went up even more under Biden. All the while the ratio of people apprehended over people encountered doesn't seem to change much, so perhaps the ratio of people caught over people not caught is also about constant? I don't know, and you don't know either.

I don't think the numbers fluctuate that much from Obama's terms to Trump's.. Trump just made us more aware of the problem and tried to fix it.

They have been increasing as the left has been busy putting in roads, busses, stopping points, and even forcing governments to allow/provide transportation to the next stop. Then the NGOs feed them, give them whatever, free stuff, etc.

Caught vs uncaught doesn't really matter. If they are caught they will just be released anyways so it won't matter they still end up here illegally. Caught may just temporarily stop someone from entering but if they are denied and/or deported they will just go the longer route and not turn themselves in.

Plus can you even call it catching them if they literally are looking to turn themselves into CBP?

That was often true in 2019 and earlier, but has not been true since the pandemic began.

They are still released into the US, see all the buses and planes sending them in the middle of the night. Yes some have to wait to get their free tickets but they will eventually get let in.

Bud Light's 1994 Ad Resurfaces and Shows Just How Far Woke Company Has Fallen

In 1994, Bud Light’s marketing team came up with an advertising campaign that featured a bunch of men badly impersonating women and making a mockery of gender.

In 2023, a different marketing team for the same beer came up also came up with an advertising campaign that featured a man badly impersonating a woman and making a mockery of gender.
