For his career i think he has been a average LT.  He's been better than average this year though, he's been good.  He's also only 28 which isn't old for a lineman.  Hopefully we beat the tacks and then we can see how he does against Myles Garrett in the playoffs.  He makes less than Jawaan Taylor which he is better than and also plays LT

It's a tough decision.  Good is only the enemy of Great when Great is available.  We will have to pay close attention to all five OL positions in free agency.  You're right that he is expensive, so hopefully we can find someone better for only a little more coin.

The issue is we would settle for Expensive Average instead of pushing for Great. I listed the Cons of the decision earlier, I just think Cam is too much risk for next year; we should be looking to improve both the risk and performance of the position. I also agree with flgatejags that he's had a good year; he's also missed half the games this year which adds to the concern.

Like I said, he’s a stud.

Couldn’t care less about his run blocking at this point. That will get better as he gets older but sometimes, you can’t teach pass blocking and this kid had that.

it could be worse, we could have Bill Belichick playing GM for us. He's another one who's good at FA's but god awful at drafting.

I haven't seen anything for a 1st round graded Center online, but draft grading season is still super early.

But there are supposed to be three highly rated centers in the 24 draft that I've seen in the 2nd-3rd round range. Issue is going to be what pick is sent to finish up the Calvin Ridley trade, which of those guys best fits the run blocking scheme they will want to use going forward, and if Baalke would actually trade up to ensure getting the right guy. 

It is also supposed to be a very deep edge rusher class including the UCLA kid who is supposedly a top talent but with medical red flags (a Baalke special), so I would suspect the first rounder would go towards that instead of them probably reaching a bit on one of the better IOL prospects.

I like the idea of a temporary replacement thats better than Fortner. Someone that could mentor him may make a big difference. Either way id really just like to see Fortner developed. It's not something we as Jaguars are typically use to.

I agree, I like FA OL almost always over draft picks when it comes to a team that could contend soon. Rookie OL is scary, Anton is an exception.

Yes.
I'd go after the best available FA for center this offseason with a vengeance. Hopefully someone who has the brain to run Pederson's ZBS but can also get a push running power gap stuff when we need it. 

LG - I'd try to re-up Cleveland if the bad game was strictly about injury and not some drop off due to scheme change

Center - Best FA we can get 

RG - keep Scherff one more year and draft a 2nd or 3rd rounder to groom behind him 

LT - this is the weird one due to injuries and cap uncertainty - I'm just uncertain here - it's a gamble every which way but -  Little + spending another 1st round pick on a tackle is one way 
- Keeping Cam+Little is the other/easiest way to go - No idea what this staff wants to do there

I agree on the free agent route at center. Lloyd Cushenberry of the Broncos or Connor Williams seem like the best choices. Still would add another couple interior linemen in the draft to develop.

No thank you on Williams.  I don't want to sign a center coming off a ACL injury late in season.  We need a center that can push some people.  At RG I'm hoping we cut Scherff and sign Kevin Dotson.  He would be a nice upgrade at RG.  At C I'm still hoping we can draft Powers Johnson.  If we do go after center in FA I'd look Biadasz or Cushenberry.
