Like Chris Berman says, "he was stumbling and mumbling" mess. Looked like a delusional old man who has no business running a country. We can't let this old feeble man continue running the country. Simply pathetic!

They have two obstacles to overcome. The first is finding a viable candidate in short order. The second will be overcoming the gauntlet of unelecteds who are using Biden as a pawn to stay at the reins of power.
There needs to be a decisive action, and soon. Real soon.

There's been prognostications by some on social media over the past year of a plan to replace him at the convention with Gavin Newsome. Wild to see it playing out in real time regardless.

Too much California baggage for Gavin Newsome.

Oh I agree. Newsome should have no chance nationally, but it won't necessarily be about that. It will be about who currently has sway in the Democratic party and who has a machine in place. Could be Hillary or Michelle as well, but Hillary is already unlikeable and has plenty of baggage on her own and Michelle has no business being President. Betting odds are favoring Newsome to replace if anyone does. Michelle probably has the best chance with leftists yearning for more of the Obama years.
Axelrod on CNN after the debate chastised the republican across the table about Trump being in trouble if the top of the ticket changed for the Dems. Axelrod is a political hack as is most everyone at CNN and he was clearly saying whatever he could to save face after a terrible performance by his guy. A lot of time between now and the election and anything can happen, but Trump isn't in trouble at all at this moment and looks to be cruising to victory.

Why though? With Michelle? So they can finish their job in the Middle East and further expand upon Bush Jr's "Patriot Act" laws and keep going after free speech and independent journalists?
No thanks. Race relations would just be worse than it was with Barack, because now it's a Black Woman instead of a Black Man in the office. The narratives would be spun right back around on white people being too critical, racism this, racism that.
What a [BLEEP] joke of a candidate at this point. The left has lost this one. Said it numerous time. Over the past eight [BLEEP] years, since 2016, instead of building up a perfect candidate, developing a better ideology as a party, they kept going after Trump, whether he was or was not in power, using everything they could to stop him instead of just offering the country a viable alternative.
The political system here is garbage. It is what it is at this point, but, even if Trump gets in for the next four years, he's not the same man he was in 2016. He'll maybe alleviate some of our current problems, but, once he's done? Then what?
We're right back to Warhawks in the White House and RINO's running the table again from the right. And then these Neoliberals will continue their social agenda nonsense some more to dumb down yet another generation of children that are being raised by parents that were put into an identity crisis the previous decade before.

The best would have been an energetic and lucid Joe Biden; that outcome disappeared about 5 minutes into the "debate." The horrible and sad performance by Biden made it totally obvious that if Democrats want to win they must convince him to withdraw. Since the Democratic party has a history of self-destructive behavior (not unlike the Republicans), I'm not so sure they will pressure him to step down. If this doesn't happen after the post-debate polls, the Democrats will have no one to blame but themselves.

Honestly? Not a bad theory at all.
