It must be nice to have so many allies in the media. I'd venture a guess that it's a lot more than 15 to 20 instances in the past year and a half and this is yet again the media covering for him as best they can. We've seen video clips suggesting this has been going on all along and they were calling early in the day lids daily on his campaigning in 2020 very likely because it was already an issue then.

I guess on some level we should thank the media for not making such a big deal about it before now as it would likely have wound up putting Kakala in the big chair.
I wish Trump was half as cunning, authoritarian, and manipulative as mike says he is. Then we would have avoided the last 4 years of utter decline and perversion of the nation. Unfortunately he's not.

You're so close to getting it!

He is authoritarian.  He is not cunning enough or manipulative enough.  That's why he failed.  But we know what he tried to do.
Biden is simply doing the Ali Rope-a-Dope. Take punches for 9 rounds then come out swinging in the final 3 rounds. Simply Masterful !!! Genius !!!

What will save the country from Trump is that he is a moron, incapable of doing the stuff some of his critics fear he will do.

Cause he did such a terrible job the first time, right? I hated having good economy and no global wars.

There are authoritarian Democrats also, but they are not running for president at this time.

I heard a couple of reports that he starts his "work" day at 10:00 AM and is done by 4:00 PM.  He doesn't even have the stamina to put in a full 8-12 hour workday at least.

How is he authoritarian?
I think if most of you would take the time to watch the debate 2 or 3 more times, you would come to the conclusion that Biden won.

It looks to me like she's telling the cameraman to move off her and to Jake Tapper who was talking.

You're right.  At this time, it's a vegetable Democrat.
Hi guys,

I have asked a lot of questions in the other thread, thank you for answers so far.
Just one more question which I think is fitting in this one:
If a party (Democrats in this case most likely) is under the impression that their candidate wouldn't have a chance by this point, can they change/replace him/her?

Thank you

Biden has almost all of the delegates to the Convention pledged to him.  So to replace him, he would have to withdraw of his own volition.  Then, the delegates to the Convention would vote on a replacement.

I think it would be great TV to see 4 or 5 candidates trying to get the nomination at the Convention.  Lots of drama!

I agree that's the most likely scenario.

Thank you for explanation.
In the actual case it is/was kind off predictable that there could be complications.
But if it would be another candidate and he has health reasons for example or something else which would even lead the candidate to pull back his candidacy, what would be the most logical thing for the respective party? Do they have to take this steps which you described again? Months or weeks before the election? That's defeat by default in my opinion. Or does the second placed nominee has to be a 'substitute' in that case?
Sorry, if I sound like an ignorant but I seriously have no clue Cry

This might answer your question.
