Maybe they are?  Maybe it's an ALL OUT BRAWL?
Word from Jaguars radio, it was a calm locker room. Doug said he gave a quote about bad teams, no one leads, average teams the coaches lead, and great teams the players lead.

It sounds like the team is lost.

Next week is make or break.

Well is that anything we and everyone else doesn't already know?  Last week this week was make or break and we broke.  It won't be any different in the future.

Yep, players are ultimately responsible for success on the field.

That was this week.

And the Tinhorns getting throttled by the Vikings is only going to make things worse for us next week.

100%.

That's why I'm leaning in heavily on the players - even though we all know the coaching is terrible.

Players have to execute at the end of the day and talented players will do so, while those devoid of talent don't.

Exactly. Can we make that a banner on the site. That's what most of us Trevor 'coddlers' are trying to say.

I guess I can be added to the "Trevor Coddlers".  Again, no one is denying Trevor had a bad game, but only a Trevor hater wouldn't blame the defense first for tonight's game.  Our defensive drives went as follows:

1.  Touchdown
2.  Touchdown
3.  Touchdown
4.  Touchdown
5.  Touchdown
6.  Field Goal
7.  Punt
8.  Field Goal
9.  Touchdown
10.  Kneel Down

Despite this, there must be 10 criticisms of Trevor Lawrence on this board for every criticism of the defense tonight.  It's unreal.

Defense was putrid, but we all knew that - or at least most of us did.

Can you do one for our offensive drives now please?

I mean, we can start with our first Offensive possession.

1st down - ETN slips (I've never seen any RB slip as much as he does btw and it's a problem) with nobody around him and only gains 1 yard.

2nd down - BTJ drops a pass that would of set up 3rd and short.

3rd down - 3rd and 9, Trevor is forced to try and do everything because nobody around him can even make a simple play.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Yep, players are ultimately responsible for success on the field.

The problem is that if the scheme is not working or being out schemed by the Bills, a single player cannot just break the scheme and do his own thing.

He would have to do it along with the other guys, and they would have to be familiar with it enough and their teammates to do that on the fly. That is not something that most teams and players can pull off in the NFL.

So a 3 and out?  Got it.

Meanwhile I change the channel and Jayden Daniels converts after a 2nd and 21 on a drive that ends in a TD.
Was Shad Khan at the game?

Ah so Daniels receivers can catch the football? Got it.
Jayden Daniels is already a Lamar Jackson clone.

To make matters worse the team plane is having problems and can't leave for another hour. Losing on all fronts.

Don't worry though, nobody on the offense, and especially not Trevor, was at fault!
(09-23-2024, 10:25 PM)Jaguar Warrior Wrote: [ -> ]So Trevor is over, right? Not sure you recover from this humiliation.

I agree.  When a quarterback in his fourth year in the NFL has 4 interceptions and 2 fumbles in the same game, it is completely unacceptable.  There's no way that player can continue.  He needs to be cut and should be kicked out of the league.

Oh wait.  That wasn't Trevor Lawrence.  That was Peyton Manning!!!

Trevor Lawrence tonight was 21 for 38 for 178 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception (his first of the year) with 0 fumbles (to go along with his 0 for the year).  No one said it was a good game, but career over!?!?!?  That's absolutely ridiculous.

Some people on this board are unreal.

Sure, but he also isn't sailing it 5 yards over his WR's head every other throw.

Good, let them bask in the pitiful loss up in Buffalo a little more.

Hopefully this lights a fire under them so they come out next week and play in a dominant fashion for 4 straight quarters in ALL phases of the game.

This team so desperately needs a convincing blowout win just to spark some confidence in all of them - because they have been playing like they are anemic for at least 9 straight games spanning back to last year.

I'm not sure the thing you are agreeing upon is the thing you think is so profound....

Doug has basically lost the locker room.  When a locker room is lost, that's when things start circling the drain.
