Please ask them. Fowler's girlfriend attacking the mother of Fowler's child in a an elevator is not domestic violence.

The correct thing to do would be to use his status (boyfriend of the attacker) and his size/strength to deescalate the situation before it ever got to a point where someone felt obligated to pull out a knife.

It's a non issue in terms of disciplinary action, but that doesn't mean there weren't better alternatives for how this could have been handled.

Dante Fowler's girlfriend attacking his baby momma is NOT domestic violence. That is cut and dry. Since there was no domestic violence in this case, the NFL's domestic violence initiative does not pertain.

What exactly was disturbing? And how is a guy who did nothing going to get suspended for this?

Goodell doesn't need any evidence or facts to suspend anyone.

While there were certainly better alternatives for how the situation could have been handled, Fowler didn't do anything that warrants a suspension.

I can only speak for myself, but I disagree for aforementioned reasons. To reiterate:

 

"Let me preface this by saying that everybody that posts on the political forum can tell you I am ALL for equal rights in cases of fighting / self-defense.

 

That isn't what we see here so using that argument is a very unimpressive form of mental gymnastics. The girl in the elevator had no way out of the confrontation. We have no idea if she wanted to fight. She was cornered in an elevator and then attacked. I would most certainly have a problem with two people cornering a defenseless male in an elevator and then attacking him. Gender plays no role in this for me."
