I took the shrug to mean there was nothing left he could do.  I think, when you consider his personality, he will get in front of the media, apologize, say something about how he wanted to stop it, but didn't want to put his hands on either woman, so he stepped out of the way.

Quote:So two women are fighting, and a guy is standing there watching it...and it's not a big deal for some people ? This world is mad.

No, according to FBT, he did the smart thing lol.

He did the smart thing by staying out of it.
Quote:Yeah, I just see a warning from the league.

True, but you haven't even played a down and already getting a warning from the league is not good.

Agreed, but just a crappy/unfortuante situation to be a part of.

As someone else said, knowing how Dante is, he will probably come out and apologize and so forth. There is much worse going on in the NFL right now.
Quote:Can't really glean much from this little clip, but the moment when he shrugs with his palms out certainly suggests he's doing everything BUT discouraging violence between theses women.

I'll await more info, but it paints him in poor light at this point.  I don't see anything that could really linger.  Perhaps a stern warning from the league at the most.

Unless he was actively encouraging the fight, I don't really what the league would give him a warning for.
I have to wonder, if the fight was between two men, with Fowler still involved, would this be as much of an issue as it is now? It does not involve two men however, so the emotional involvement between the people is probably different, but if this was simply a "clearing of the air" between two buddies who are arguing over a bar tab, would TMZ even care as much?

Ah well, back to our normal name-calling.

Also, somewhat good news, is that nobody was severely injured in this video. Both women looked to walk out of that fine.
You guys do realize if he stepped in to break it up and one got hurt from a forearm to the face it could be a lot worse. To me, I would have stepped back too. Let them wear each other out and break it up when you or them have no risk of any further injury by my actions. But to the rest, keep making it a big deal because obviously you guys need something to fill your day with!
Wow, people on here making this thing out to be a huge deal.

While it may be only symbolic -  I think they'd give him an earful since this borders on the hot-button topic of domestic violence. These aren't random women. He's "involved" with each of them.  I'm sure - given the climate of the topic lately - they'd prefer their players to DIScourage such behavior.

It may not be anything official from the league, but I'm sure he's been contacted.  I still think it will blow over quickly and that it should.
Quote:You've got to be kidding me with this garbage...
Just how is it garbage?

Please do not give me a soft answer.

Quote:BECAUSE NORMAL PEOPLE DO NOT REFEREE FIGHTS BETWEEN WOMEN IN ELEVATORS. Just because he is freakishly talented doesn't make him normal.
Cuz you know exactly what happened?

You can judge all you want, but until exactly what happened comes out i will refrain from judgement.

Or is this not "normal" either? Don't play god
Maybe he tried to squash it.

Maybe he set the whole thing up.

Maybe he had money on the fight lol.

If they were going to fight anyway, why not let them go at it to squash it?

Is that not "normal"?

Should we all play patty cake and use our words to squash beef?

Is this "normal"?

It's normal to let two women fighting in front of you ? You are a coward if thats the case.

If your wife is fighting with another woman, you stand there and watch it ?

Normal people do not fight in hallways for any reason at all.  Normal people, especially women, rarely get in fights in their entire lives.  Those two looked all too willing to get into a fight.  That is not normal.

Thankfully I live in a civilized world where my wife doesn't walk around fighting others.

Exactly!  If my wife was about to get into some sort of fight I would grab her and take her out of there before anything happened.  Not walk her right up to the person that has the issue.

You can say we don't know the whole story, and that's true, but we can look at that video and learn a lot on our own.....I'm glad that isn't normal to me.

But what about your baby-momma and your new squeeze?  Very different dynamic  :teehee:

(thank God I don't have that issue in my life..... yet)
Are you entertained yet, Deacon? Or shall it go on?

I get what you're saying, but at the end of the day these were two adults who wanted to fight one another and neither of which were him. The NFL may tell him he should pick better (girl)friends, but I don't really think he crossed any sort of line. Would I prefer that he was actively trying to diffuse the situation? Absolutely, and if one of them didn't want to participate, I'd have a completely different opinion on the matter. However, if two people are dead set on fighting one another, it isn't really the worst idea to not involve yourself in the actual fight.
