This incident was not a huge deal in itself, but raises more concerns about the young man's character. 

It does not look good, but it could have been worse. Either way, no one should be pleased by what happened.

I don't think anyone is pleased by what they see in the video.  It was stupid to even be in that situation.  I just don't see the need to blast the guy over this. In the grand scheme of behavioral issues with players, this barely registers in comparison to what we've seen from guys like Soward or Blackmon.

More like a lack of maturity on his part.  Hopefully he learns something from this.  He is not a bad guy.

Wow, all these pages for that itty bitty kitty fight. Some of the posters in this thread must live some extremely sheltered lives. I think the offense that some have taken to this and the name calling that has occured, coward, trash, idiot to name a few is comical. There are a few in here that if that horse they're on throws them they are going to have quite the fall.

I'm just amazed that basic civility is so vigorously parsed and debated.

In today's times the settling of a beef between two people with only fists is actually quite tame. Today's youth all to often shoot and kill one another. His actions may have prevented that, who knows. This is simply a non issue IMO.

Yup, it is, I mentioned this yesterday. Fighting it out use to be the way to settle things back in the day. Once you fought, it was over, and more often then not you became friends, or at least had a healthy mutual respect. Today we see guns, knives, weapons, etc used to settle disputes.

In the video, the two women fight. Fowler does not fight. He stands to the side very much not involved. He is not involved until the end, when he leans down to do something that appears like assisting. Life happens. This is not “disturbing.” This is not Fowler doing anything wrong. This is not him being a bad guy. Being somewhere where something happens between people you know is not a crime. It’s not a suspend-able offense. It’s not a reprimand-able offense. Dante Fowler Jr. will not miss time next season – if he does, something is shamefully wrong – and he’s not Version 2.0 of anything. Unless there is something else to this video, this is not a thing. Please let’s not turn this into one. Oh, and: no, this will not influence how the Jaguars approach free agency or the draft.
