Without researching the source of each photo, I cannot determine if there is hypocrisy, nor do we know if any action was taken against the sorority. Personally, I find both both vulgar and offensive, but I'm not surprised they exist.

 

You seem to be missing the bigger picture, which is there exists a real, documented problem with sexual assaults and harassment committed by men on college campuses, and college administrators are well within their rights to address anything besmirching the image they wish to portray to recruits and parents. Of course there is a risk of a double standard, but that does not negate their right to take action.

Here is the thing though.  If you find both banners to be "vulgar and offensive", does that give you or anyone else the right to censor or stop these kids from expressing themselves?

 

The "bigger picture" is the subject of the thread, that being PC and how freedom of expression is limited.  Yes I do acknowledge and understand that there is a problem with sexual assault and harrassment on college campuses, but that's not what this thread is about.

I had to limit what I was talking about for a bit until I got confirmation that I wasn't violating the CoC here on the board.

 

I'll ask you the same question again.  Is the banner displayed by the fraternity not PC, but the banner displayed by the sorority is?

 

For the record, I do support what these kids are doing politically.  They are exorcising their right to freedom of expression, and doing so off of the college campus.  Do I agree with their message?  Not so much, but that could be said about a lot of things in today's society.  Do I agree with what the Westboro Baptist Church says?  Not at all.  Do I defend their right to do so?  Absolutely.

Attack me personally all you want.  I do believe that it''s against the COC here on the board, but either way, it doesn't really matter to me.  Please go back to your grade school text books and attempt to understand the difference between "your" and "you're".  I know that it's probably a difficult concept for someone like you, but with practice you might actually learn it.
