I've been high on Hurns for a long time. He's my favorite WR just based on his story... AR15 is probably the most gifted. But Hurns is just a workhorse. I hope he continues working hard and fine-tuning his craft.

Also, someone else mentioned this, but that whole VINE thing is awesome!!! It's like we are all hanging out at practice! Thanks to everyone that posts these!!

Colvin with the pick 6

Anybody watch AR15 on the vine above? Watch his cut... He's open when BB5 waits in real games...

Vine is amazing. So perfect for training camp.

In response to your post about AR15 being open I'm always cautious saying another receiver is 'open'when the qb throws to another player.

Did that open player run the right route? Did the other defensive player read and react to the qb on the intended throw? Did the open receiver quit on his route because he knew he wasn't the hot read? Just because he appears open doesn't mean he beat his man and was able to haul in the pass.
mike_e_kaye: Bortles bullet to Greene for TD. #teamsideline https://t.co/DLle7hV02c

Thanks Sr. Fantastico for the above link!

Question: I'm picking at nits here, but don't you wish that BB5 lead Greene just a little bit more? The pass was quick and pretty much on target, but just a bit behind Greene... Again, picking at nits. I'm bored and just looking for things to either get excited about or to temper my enthusiasm.

Just watch AR15 on that vine I quoted. His last cut was awesome. What I'm saying is that the play on the vine was probably already pre-determined. I just thought that the route that AR15 ran shows not just awesome talent but he's digging hard on a route that he probably already knew wasn't going to be thrown his way.

To me it shows how special AR15 is gonna be!!! That's all I'm saying.

Parnell and Linder have been owning. Beadles wins the majority of the time but has had some slip ups. Joeckel concerns me..

It sounds like Joeckel has been getting better every day though. This is the first time he's really had solid coaching and will probably take a few weeks, the coaches have been saying he's making good progress though. I think he'll be alright by season start

I think I'm in the minority in that I'm not overly concerned about Joeckel. He did a lot of good stuff last season but did have moments where he was overpowered and made young mistakes (hand placement/bad exchanges with guard). From everything I've read he's bigger and stronger and I think Marrone is going to be very influential on Joekel.

Basically I'm not going to press the panic button until he looks bad in games.

Right there with you.

Not calling him a bust just yet or anything. I just want to hear or see him being dominant in camp. He's been solid and had some slip ups but I wanna see him stonewalling our DEs and pancaking them. Got high expectations for him.
Quote:The Alualu bashers won't like hearing this.

Lol for real? What, they gonna use that formation once during the season if that.
Should I bring binoculars tomorrow or no?
You wanna know what's real scary about Allen Hurns? The good kind of scary, I mean

The guy's catching with his hands now.

I think this is sooo overblown about Hurns. He body catches at times, but I've seen him snag plenty of footballs with his hands, especially in college.

I would assume that Alualu could be the short yardage FB throughout the season as the team currently does not carry a true FB. So hopefully Alualu gets lots of chances as the FB in the redzone and the teams scores lots of TD's.

The Bengals did this a lot with Domata Peko just a few years ago. Just get any big guy who's not scared to barrel into LB's or a mass of people.

Why would you assume Alualu could be a short yardage fullback? Because he was put there in one practice? The undrafted rookie guard took reps at FB too.

Personally, I could care less on what jumbo package includes a back up defensive lineman/ undrafted rookie at FB. Teams do it all the time.

I'm assuming Alualu is more likely to make the roster then whoever the backup undrafted rookie guy is. So wouldn't Alualu seem like the more likely guy to be that?. I also don't care who's back there as long as they help the team convert on short yardage.
