Odrick looks outstanding. He's bigger than I expected.

He's currently one I'm really rooting for because of his personality.
@Frank_Frangie: Two days in, this just feels like a better @jaguars team. Legit position battles. Good players will get cut. Bortles much improved.

Freaking love the sound of that.

It's still very early in the process, but there's definitely a different vibe this year from the past 2.  I like the way this team looks right now.  It's still young, but there's some real talent on the field.

Just based on how our last couple drafts have gone, I would hope so.  Every pre-season brings hope.  But this one has a different type of hope, even for those fans like myself who are far removed from the action.

There have been, "ya but's" for a long time.  I think there aren't that many, "ya but's" anymore.

The only "ya but" that I can semi-understand is that from the Offensive coaching staff.  "We got some talent.  Ya but, it's a new offensive coaching staff".  I don't think it's something to buy into, just something that can be considered a flag to temper expectations.
It's always too early to tell. I remember gabbert looking very good in his 2nd preseason with us and he had his best season that year, but it definitely wasn't enough
It's only two days of camp and it's hard to tell much without pads or contact.

But here are my initial impressions.

Bortles is improved but I still see issues. There were short passes across the middle where he threw it behind the receiver. The deep ball still seems to flutter a bit. He is definitely a work in progress.

Yeldon looks the part. If he can hold onto the ball, he's the starter no doubt.

Allen Robinson and Julius Thomas stand out. These two could both have big years. Lewis has had some nice catches. I think he and Thomas could be a great tandem. Lee looks very rusty. Arrelious Benn looks pretty good. I wonder if he is a dark horse for the 5th receivers spot.

Bowanko/Wiz is probably the closest we have to a camp competition. Both will get their chances and may the best man win.

Odrick looks like the real deal. He is going to provide pass rush ability at that position that Red Bryant was incapable of doing last year. A new added aspect to this defense.

Michael Bennett and has some quickness. Someone worth keeping an eye on.

This is another interesting battle to watch

Personally, I would love to see Denard win that job.

This is good news for fans going out to practice tomorrow

What news of Joeckel/Cyp? This is the season they need to prove it

I don't know that we'll know until the games start. I have higher hopes for Cyp as at least he has flashed potential. Joeckel has not.

Expect him to do well under Gus Bradley's defense.

I disagree that Joeckel hasn't flashed potential. They both have flashed their potential but simply need to do it more consistently. If Joeckel has added the strength we've been hearing about I think he'll be much better.
Sort of Jaguar related. Probably the end of his career.

Was is really necessary to bring this up right now?

Let us Jag's fans at least be able to keep this good preseason hope/vibe up for as long as we can.
Living in California,

Thanks for the updates!

So excited and hopeful for this year!

Bon Jagley, cheers for the rundown mate.

<p class="">Odrick threw Beadles to the ground in a pass rush drill. He's going to be a 6-8 sack player this year. Favorite me when I'm wrong [Image: 1f648.png].
