Quote:Agreed.  The D-Line is going to be improved this year with or without Fowler.

This team doesn't sink or swim on his knee.  It's all on the arm of Bortles.

Exactly. No need to panic. Just a bummer if you don't get to see the #3 overall pick extensively this year. Won't hurt my feelings as long as we're winning and not getting massacred every Sunday.
Quote:Do you ever go out in public in this city?

I'm from Canada. So no.
As others have said the main component is Bortles.

But with fowler I think our D can be pretty dominant.

This crap is depressing.

Yup.
Quote:People are actually flaming the guy? Who are these morons? We must cross paths with them every day. It's scary to think they're out there. So close by.

People who clearly don't know football. Dudes trying to make the team too.
Yea, minni camp is a joke

Someone on twitter mentioned that if it were an ACL it would be too swollen for an MRI, so most likely not. Take that for what it's worth, but I chose to listen to the positive views.

Quote:DE is largely irrelevant.
If Bortles doesn't get better, we'll stink no matter how good Fowler would have been.

whut
Just to clear up the part sheet they had to stabilize the knee. I Spain mine last year and it had to be"stabilized" also
He is gonna be fine.  That video didn't look bad at all to me.

Quote:A 1st degree sprain is not necessarily a tear. The fibres of the ligament are stretched, but often fully intact.
Not necessarily, but it can include a partial tear of the fibers.  That's all I'm saying.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it's an ACL.  But, I should just agree it's an ACL and that we've lost Fowler.  His career is over unless he's able to make a miracle comeback as a one-legged defensive end.
In other news, should we be concerned he was stonewalled by a guy named Watts Dantzler.

Fingers crossed its just a sprain
smh....went on bleacher report to read up on the rookie mini camp and saw this.....first thing i thought was #becausejaguars

Hoping for the best

I had an injury very similar to this where my weight was going one way and my knee buckled like that.. was a bit different but the angles were the same..

I had a torn mensicus and torn cartilage and needed microfracture surgery because of the torn cartilage.

It's impossible to tell what it is looking at it, but to be honest it looks bad.  I hope it's just a partial tear of a ligament and he can heal without surgery, but that looks bad.

This team is so cursed.  It's sad to come back like 5 years later from when I used to post on here daily, to see that we are still cursed, and that some of the same posters still able to keep calm and act like no big deal...

this is a big deal.. this is a top 3 pick who might not play all year, who you then never know if he fully recovers.  This team can't take more top 10 picks that pan out to nothing.

Yes that is all speculation, but speculating that he'll be fine is all speculation too.

It just sucks... when, if ever, will this team stop getting screwed over by the football gods.. at this point I'm thinking never Sad

Quote:Yes, we should just accept that the ACL is torn based on....no information at all.  Great idea.

He went down in non-contact drills, in a manner consistant with an acl tear. I saw the fricken video. Obviosuly no one knows 100% right now, but lets face it, the thing is torn.

His point is pretty clear.  It's all on the QB.  If he's not improved, it doesn't matter who is out there playing DE.

If they wait too long, yeah the swelling could interfere, but they seem to be on it quick enough though.

I agree, I don't think it will end up being a fully torn ACL.. I do fear it will require surgery though if it's menisucs/cartilage related... hopefully it's just a partial tear aka sprain

im really hoping its not an ACL, moreover, im actually just hoping it isnt a completely destroyed knee.

based on my uneducated guess, it looked a lot like an LCL. i hope to see him this season but if we dont, i at least hope he will be 100% at some point.
