Whose with me?

Quote:He went down in non-contact drills, in a manner consistant with an acl tear. I saw the fricken video. Obviosuly no one knows 100% right now, but lets face it, the thing is torn.
He went down while a right tackle put hands on him.  Non-contact drills doesn't mean there's zero contact.  Just that they're not tackling.

I'm happy you saw the video, and that in your expert opinion based on a camera phone video from 50 yards away, you could fully diagnose the injury.  Why are the Jags even bothering with sending him to an orthopedic doctor since you've already settled it?
Yeah I'm done [BLEEP] this
Quote:And you also don't know what you're talking about. Not trying to be mean or anything, but every random joe 6-pack doesn't have education or experience to diagnose an injury from watching a video.

It could be nothing. It could be something serious. We don't know. Wait and see and let the doc update the team.

I've been around injuries and treated them for many years and a PT, and you simply don't know anything at this point.

Go watch Gurley tear his ACL. You can barely tell. He walked off with assistance. He himself didn't think it was anything serious. Then there are guys who hear a pop and feel instant pain for the same type of injury. We will see.
No one in this world knows exactly what happened until they're able to do test. That doesn't mean you can't have a logical and educated opinion on the injury. I had an ACL tear playing in high-school, and I've seen it happen multiple times. Glad you had to share your insight and tell me you treated them, but you still have no idea what's going on and know just as much as me...lol
Quote:If they wait too long, yeah the swelling could interfere, but they seem to be on it quick enough though.
Torn ACLs don't require much more than a few minutes to start swelling, at which point an MRI is useless.
Quote:His point is pretty clear.  It's all on the QB.  If he's not improved, it doesn't matter who is out there playing DE.

And a good defense makes it easier. There's a reason teams like the Texans can take a trip to the playoffs with game managing QB's For a second year QB, any help is good help.
How dare you bibbers be upset when one of our players, especially our first draft pick, gets injured! I won't speculate one way or another because there is no place for speculation or conversation on a message board! I am so much smarter and better than all of you.
Sad

There are also guys who strain their MCL and show the same kind of instant pain.

The point is that nobody knows, and all of the declarations that it's an ACL based on nothing but 10 seconds of video is premature.  One of my best friends is a PT who has been doing this for years, and even with her expertise, when she sees a video like this, she's not able to make any sort of determination about the type or severity of the injury.  Nobody can.  They can make some quick determinations on the field based on the stability of the knee as to whether it's an ACL or not and be pretty accurate in their assessment, but no fan sitting in a bleacher or watching it on a video would be able to know what they're seeing.

One way ticket.  Goin' down!

A good defense helps, but the QB is the most critical component in the ascent of this team, not the LEO we just drafted.  There are other upgrades on the defense that will assure that we are better than we were last year.  Even if it's an ACL, it's not a devastating loss.  If Bortles suffered a similar injury?  The season is over.

And I'm telling you that you don't know enough to make ANY assumptions whatsoever, which is what you did in the post I replied to. He wouldn't be able to "roll and bend" the knee if it was an ACL? That's just absolute twaddle, absulute rubbish... Not logical and not educated.
How long do y'all think before an update shows up? I can't work anymore right now lol Hoping for something minute that just needs a few weeks rest....

GO JAGS!!

Exactly.

Twaddle and rubbish.  How British!

The bottom line here is that nobody knows anything, and there are a whole lot of assumptions flying around.  Let's give the doctors a chance to evaluate and determine the severity, then we can start selling admission to watch people leap off the Wells Fargo tower.
I was waiting to use this when we failed the draft. Guess now's a good time.

The radio just reported that they should have some additional details this evening.
Expect the worst. Hope for the best.
