We need to look at this like a 16 game preseason. Learn make mistakes and get better. Next year will be our year.
Quote:Insert whatever excuse you want and you could say that about every Jags game

True but when was the last time you saw a performance like that?
Quote:This game could have been a lot different had it not been one of the worst special teams performances ( I imagine) of all time.

Jags, the team of ifs, buts and missed opportunities.
Quote:For your info...my grandson has Down Symdrome and you must be a small person to make fun of those afflicted with this disorder.
Actually, That was making fun of Dalton, not kids with Downs "Symdrome".....
Quote:Better but still a ways to go seems to be the theme this year
Yup. It's getting better. Bortles is struggling bad. I'm hoping this learning season pays off next year. He's really got a lot of work to do with his decision making.

That last TD throw to Hurns was a bad decision IMO. 2 defenders,, Terrence Newman right there for the pick. Luckily for Bortles,, the ball was under thrown and Hurns fought back to the ball as Newman just stood there.

He's a rookie,, but he's gonna have to be much better than this during next season.
Actually the 2nd TD was put where only Hurns could catch it.
Good Game Jaguars ...

After the first half did anyone expect to be on the edge of your seat in the fourth quarter?

That is progress for a young team!
I'm back from raking the yard!!! Did we win???

I've lobbied for BB5 to play this year to Iron Out All the Rookie Rinkles...

Hopefully 2015 will be Much Better than 2014 @ the QB position...

This team is bad.

One weak link can do that. The line between great teams and bad teams is very thin in the NFL.

He will be.  The entire offense will be much improved.  They just need a little seasoning.  I think we can rest assured that the mistakes they make this year are being indelibly burned into their ambitious brains to be replayed over and over.  They won't make them again.
Quote:Ugh, that was a horrible decision.

Agreed, and at the worst possible time.

Quote:it's clear at this point, bortles doesn't have the common sense to be a qb in the nfl. this is why we are jaguars. we don't draft the common sense choice at qb in bridgewater.

You've seen me around here.  You know I'm a fan.  I was just channeling my sarcastic smart [BLEEP] persona today.  I figured I might as well have fun with our predictable disappointment.  What was funny is watching the one dude get all spun up.

Also, for the first time this season I believe we can legitimately say the Jaguars have figured out their running game. As for Bortles, yeah he still has to be weaned from making these bad decisions, however, the guy was streaky good for a while there. I can see him leading this team the distance at some point after putting this rookie season behind him.

On a side note, Robinson and Hurns continue to look good, and Marcedes will be back in a few weeks, but has there been any word at all on Justin Blackmon possibly returning?
