Bingo, there was a story of a tattoo shop and a country gun store in the area, they loaded up the two stores sat out front armed and ready no one messed with the stores.

I'm just pointing out the Police are just as guilty as the thugs rioting. Plenty of times it comes out both sides are being played, Sharpton doesn't give a damn about the FBI correct. But he's been paid by the FBI in the past to be an informant, what's to say he still isn't paid by the FBI to stir up civil unrest and give them a reason to militarize the police?

The solution?

Well for those who feel as this young man does....they can swap countries with the immigrants who are trying to get in,legally and illegally. those immigrants can take their place, while the disgruntled who think Ametica is not for them can go there.

So whats your take?  It's ok for them to riot even though I would guess a majority of the country would agree that the police officer over stepped his bounds?  Why not let the law run its course before getting upset and hurting your local community?

That's right. Don't like a restaurant? Leave. Don't like your neighbourhood? Move. Bringing up 150 year old history? I think things have changed somewhat. Imagine? No. Realize. I can't undo the past. I've extended a hand. Take it. If you don't want to? That's fine too.

This guy says this isn't the place for him. What should we do? He said it. Has he tried to leave?

I don't think that if a cop or any govt figure does something wrong, I'd go burn down the Publix store.

No I never said I was cool with people rioting. I just get that people are pissed off( this is not the first or the last of a story like this). Let the law run its course? Going off history, should they? Emmit Till, Oscar grant just 2 of the many with no justice served.  As a young black man whos profiled on the daily this ticks me off. Some folks wont never understand cause they have never/ never will be in that situation.

So when someone is pissed off they should riot, and steal from innocent businesses. I am a little lost here.

I hope the outrage is the same over the 6 year old girl who was just shot here. The Tallahassee student brutally murdered. Reginald Denny getting pulverized. the daily drive bys in JAX.

Or do we pick and choose what outrages us?

I can assure you, I've been profiled. Did not like it. But to blame the country? Naw.

Things have changed in 150 years. And not because people should just deal with the way things are or leave.

Works like a charm, and we're back to square one. Instead of disgussing the gross abuse the officer displayed we're back to the Black/White America thing.

 

Even in this remote Message board about a football team on the other side of the country, we're back to the Black America/White America subject. Instead of finding out what's causing the aggression in the police force, why is there MORE aggression towards the public in general today regarding the police force?

No. Im not saying go destroy things. But just going by the history with no justice and the history of this country and blacks, People are expecting the worse. There anger goes deeper then just this one shooting. Do I agree and will I go riot? No. I just get it.

In this specific case or in general? I can link you endless stories of aggressive Police behavior, in this case it APEARS at this time that the cop was overly aggressive and killed the unarmed boy I haven't seen that disputed anywhere.


This is a result of the war on drugs, war on terror, type redirect. When you arm policeman like a military, give them military grade weapons and armored vehicles. trump it up in every movie every show you end up with over aggressive cops.

Ok, but you continue to say that the police have become more aggressive recently.  I don't think much has changed in their behavior.  I do think that with an increasing population and the type of people they have to deal with, you have to cut them some slack.

 

In a lot of cases they deal with the worst society has to offer, so if they are a little forecful without crossing a certain line, I have no problem with it.  They dont know if you or I carry a gun or a knife, and they want to go home to see their family at night.  So if they want to make me get on the ground or throw me down because I'm an idiot that doesn't want to listen...go for it.

Things haven't gotten better over the past 150 years because there hasn't been enough riots and looting. Step it up, hoodlums. :devil:
