Yep, sure is a laughing stock. Why, the Jags were one of only two teams to get a specific grade from Mel Kiper Jr. It happened to be an A, but clearly an A stands for Awful, right?
And Bleacherreport also gave us an A for awful.

How about the national media "blasting" this pick? Almost every major sports news outlet that I have seen seems to think that it was a good pick. The only "laughing stock" happens to be some of our "fans".

Oddly enough, most of the negative comments I've read concerned the fan base here. The reviews on our draft seem to be, with few exceptions, pretty positive. At this point, I have no reason to doubt the credibility of the GM when it comes to making player selections. I'll continue to have confidence in him until given concrete reason not to. Anything else just makes us look like the fans the national media likes to ridicule...

This was a very good draft, this one may be the one we look at a few years down the road and attribute to the turnaround.

I'm not one to bump threads, but this is probably one that's deserving of a bump following the kudos this team is receiving on a national basis for the draft. Nobody is laughing except those inside the confines at EverBank.
It makes me feel good too. I hyped that Jags draft as their best ever (on paper) in a thread the other day, and as it turns out, several of the NFL writers are now also giving it very high marks as well.

Other than this thread, everything I have read about the Jags draft has been exceptional. The excitement continues to build!
If it's not the best draft this franchise has ever had, it's top 2.

This thread is the typical knee jerk reaction we see from certain fans. My guess is the OP is back under his rock until something bad happens.

Heres the thing.....I'm not too proud to admit I was feeling uneasy after the first selection, and Lee also wouldn't have been my first choice with pick 39.....
But it all started to make sense when they took Allen Robinson at 50-whatever.
As I stated yesterday, I think Robinson carries a "talent" value that would have made me fine with the Jags picking Robinson at 39, and I as much as Lee not being my first choice at 39,....I would have been thrilled with getting him at our second pick in the second round....so it all worked.
Then when you combine those 2 with your future franchise QB....theres clearly evidence of a symmetry/ plan in motion.
Kipper was just on Sportscenter, said the Jags had the best draft. Mcshay thought it was Houston.
Id say Rams or Jax had probally the best and if i was in the Rams division i would be scared of that Defense
