Quote:Kipper was just on Sportscenter, said the Jags had the best draft. Mcshay thought it was Houston.

Even better!!!! Houston is sure to have many busts now!!  McShay is horrible!!!

Quote:Heres the thing.....I'm not too proud to admit I was feeling uneasy after the first selection, and Lee also wouldn't have been my first choice with pick 39.....

But it all started to make sense when they took Allen Robinson at 50-whatever.

As I stated yesterday, I think Robinson carries a "talent" value that would have made me fine with the Jags picking Robinson at 39, and I as much as Lee not being my first choice at 39,....I would have been thrilled with getting him at our second pick in the second round....so it all worked.

Then when you combine those 2 with your future franchise QB....theres clearly evidence of a symmetry/ plan in motion.

I am eager to see the 3 WR sets this year.

The presence of Lee and Robinson-being coached by Sullivan- on the field will make Shorts more effective.  For that matter, Lewis should be more productive.

Even without Blackmon, we should be improved in the passing game.

...and perhaps overlooked in all of this, getting 2 blue chip WR's might serve to convince Jerry Sullivan in hanging around a bit longer....

I hope so. That guy has proven very good for us in WR development, and if we do happen to one day hold the trophy, I want Sullivan being a part of it.
Chris Berman is the Laughing Stock of ESPN for calling out the Jaguars for Tarps on the seats. Nobody calls him out for the Tarp Comb-Over he sports everyday atop his near present dome..

So what happens if Henne gets injured, and the team has to play Bortles in emergency situations and dosent perform up to par, and Bridgewater does get off to a good start?

You really needed to ask? :woot:
Quote:This is why we draft in the top 10 every year!!! Enough is enough.  When this pick is blasted by the national media we will say they are all wrong.  When you are in a room with 10 people and you think nine of them are insane and you are the smart one, maybe you are the insane one.  Welcome to a top 5 pick next year.
Did you see all the national pundits giving our draft an A?  Did you get the approval you apparently need?

No, you put in Steven Morris so that Blake still gets that full year to develop Smile

If that happens, it happens.  Henne hasn't been too injury prone, so if he has to step up....he has to step up.

That's a good idea if the plan is to get that high draft pick next year. Banana

Oh well.  They didn't get a deal done, and hopefully we'll be enjoying the fruits of our draft success.

I just want to test out this new found TMD guy.

If Morris, and or Scott are capable game managers (while still buying time for Bortles) then yes, that would be the logical route.

If the team plans on drafting in the top 10 next season, then sitting Bortles is the plan.

These outbursts have happened in the past.  They're usually short lived.

Just like Florida summer weather.

The mornings-mid day are beautiful, then come around 2-3 pm, the thunderstorms and tornadoes erupt like clockwork.

The first loss, or the first misstep will trigger the afternoon sea breeze off the Atlantic colliding with the breeze off the Gulf of Mexico.

I was actually considering that, OR, pick up a veteran QB thats on the street for that emergency.

There are benefits to either approach, but my preference is in bold.
As a season ticket holder, I want to see the best team on the field for the 7 games we get.  Whichever QB is playing better between Henne and Bortles should get the nod.  Morris shouldn't even be a consideration.

Morris = WR

They for one knew we needed a qb and based upon prior drafting were so happy we did not pull a Alualu or a 3rd round icker that anything is a improvement
