This is the America some of you voted for. You know who you are.

What are "The 8 Black Identities" and where can I find them published?

Isn't it discriminatory to have a single set devoted exclusively to whites?  Justice cannot exist without equality!
“To be less certain”?

That one needs to be explained to me. Maybe it goes along with the racist math thing.

White people are always wrong.
As you can see, the goal is to tear down the system. You can only be adequately white once you support socialism. Acknowledge the goal, moderates. See the game for what it is.

Just seeing how powerful the teachers  unions are in Chicago and California is scary enough. They’re flexing their muscle by openly demonstrating that by controlling in-school classes, they control the parents.

The remark by one in California saying ‘they only want their babysitters back’ is remarkably telling in not only how they regard their profession, but also their disdain for parents who try to hold them accountable.

This also gives private schools the leverage to charge more. Already seeing it here in Jax. Can't imagine what it is like in states that won't open schools.
Joe Biden's America. Where satire is no longer recognizable.

Not The Onion. Proposed new Navy pledge:

"I pledge to advocate for and acknowledge all lived experiences and intersectional identities of every sailor in the Navy. I pledge to engage in ongoing self-reflection, education and knowledge sharing to better myself and my communities. I pledge to be an example in establishing healthy, inclusive and team-oriented environments. I pledge to constructively share all experiences and information gained from activities above to inform the development of Navy-wide reforms."

There are no words to describe how jacked this is. If I were a recruiter I'd give recruits a copy of that pledge and advise them to look it up before they signed on. I could not knowingly send people into the military with that crap. If it cost me my job, so be it.

The military (specifically the Navy) has been headed down this path of being "woke" for quite some time now.  I see it every day.  For a brief period of time they took away enlisted rank/rate from the title because someone of a lesser rank or different rate might "feel" inferior (ie.  instead of AT1, AW2, etc. it was simply PO).  Chief Initiation is a thing of the past.  It now entails PT and raising fun for their "pinning".  Becoming a Shellback is pretty much receiving a participation trophy.  The tradition of "tacking on" a "crow" has been gone for a long time.

True story.  I was flabbergasted.  The guard at our building was going to require assistance (basically a watch) when the China virus hit.  When the CMC of the largest tenant command in our building was approached about it he was asked about hours.  The head guard (civilian) told him that the largest need was from 0600-1200.  The response from the CMC was that their workday doesn't start until 0800 and that he wouldn't make his "sailors"y stand longer than 2 hour watches.

For those that don't know what a CMC is.  Master Chief Petty Officer is the highest enlisted rank in the Navy.  The CMC is the Command Master Chief, responsible directly to the Commanding Officer for all enlisted sailors.  Though not technical it's implied that he holds rank over many of the Junior Officers in the command.

Obviously my observation(s) come from an enlisted man's perspective since that's what I was when I served.  If anyone wants me to clarify what Chief initiation is about, becoming a shellback, tacking on a crow or whatever I would be happy to explain it.
So a CMC is equal to an Army CSM, or Command Sergeant Major (both E-9).

I remember that BS with the Navy changing the ratings. It made no sense to me, but neither did the ratings. In the Army you're addressed as your rank: PVT, SPC, SERGEANT, LT, CAPT, and so on. Didn't they reverse that nonsense?

That deal with the guard duty is ridiculous. It sounds like the Air Force, or Chair Force as we called them. The only two hour rotations We had was for Fire Guard duty in boot camp and AIT. We had to stand CQ (charge of quarters) duty in the barracks for 24 hours. We were responsible for everyone who entered and exited the building, for the soldiers who lived and worked there, for security of the offices of the enlisted and officers, etc. If anything went sideways it was on us who were CQ at the time. If you had to hit the latrine or get food at the DFAC you had to find someone who would man the desk.

In Navy enlisted ranks your "rating" is your job.  As an example I was an AT which stood for Aviation Electronics Technician.  An HM would be a Corspman (medic in Army terms).  A BM is a Boatswain's Mate and so on.  Normally your rank follows your rating.  As an example an ATAN is an "airman" AT or an E-3.  An AT1 is an AT who holds the rank of Petty Officer First Class (equivalent to an Army Staff Sergeant).

Normally (formally) people are addressed by their rank (Airman/Seaman/Fireman), Petty Officer (no specific designation regarding 3rd class, 2nd class or 1st class) then Chief, Senor Chief and Master Chief.  Officers were always addressed by rank, though a Ltjg (Lieutenant Junior grade or O-2) might simply be referred to as Lieutenant".  Generally O-3 and bellow are junior officers that nobody really takes seriously.
