We can afford to front load a deal so it doesnt effect signing all our other players. We know what we'll be getting so risk is low. Would be an amazing pick up

We tried the shorter deal thing with Vernon and the Giants (and Jets) offered him a longer deal. Dave gave in to it in the end and offered him a longer deal but I'm sure that kind of thing had him leaning towards the Giants.

Heck, give him a six year deal, the only thing that matters are the guarantees.
Just front load the contract so when he's 31/32 it wouldn't be a bad cap hit to cut him.

Turns 29 in December. So he's not a spring chicken. But he's in his prime right now. So definitely worth a front loaded contract. If we still have $54 m, we have to make an attempt.

Okay offer him 5 year deal. Just make sure the guaranteed money can be recouped after 3 or 4 years. 5th year cut him if hes washed up.

We have to spend money to the cap in 2017, we were gonna spend that much anyways when we missed out on other players, why not sign the best CB in the NFL from last year
