Quote:That's sad. I don't know what else you need to see on tape? He literally did everything on that defense lol...

I need to see him not getting stoned every time he lines up against a decent tackle. I hope he develops, but the guy is a faster version of Ryan Davis from what I've seen.
Its funny how even the posters that arent high on him admit his explosiveness. That is probably his best trait lol. Claims to watch every game lol

Look at the gifs above buddy. I don't see any tackle "stoning" him. He has a freakish first step and is relentless in everything he does.
Branch an Davis = Fowler

Haha
Bortles was Gabbert, oh boy

Haha
Hahahahah, these guys are clowns. I don't know how you can make that assumption after watching his college tape.

These are some reeeeeally bad examples to use if you want to make your point. Neither of these are positive plays on Fowler's behalf.
Quote:Might as well go ahead and "literally" put him in the Pride, right?
Why? He hasn't played a down in the NFL. People that think he wasn't THAT good in college or that he lacked pass rushing ability need to get their eyes checked.
Quote:Isn't explosive and can't get off the edge or shed blocks? LOL

Explosive:  It may not have "exploded," but yes, he did suffer a very significant injury to his knee.

Off the edge:  Yes, he was carted off the edge of the field after the injury.

Shed blocks:  Unfortunately, no.  Fowler was not able to shed the block of NFL powerhouse OT Watts Dantzler when he was injured, but Dantzler did apologize.

That, according to the last tape he made with the Jaguars.

Are they negative? No. He got past two defenders and chased down a QB that was trying to get away, and the other one he made a good play. Seems pretty good to me after watching our anemic pass rush.

Explain to me how they aren't positive plays by Fowler? Even though they end up with Fowler getting sacks. LOL

Cute

No matter what anyone thought of his college accomplishments, they mean squat now.  Not only is he unproven in the NFL, now he's an unproven guy who was forced out a year by a significant injury.

But unlike your empty nostalgia, actually relevant.
Sosa, your homerism has taken over. It is okay to like the guy, but he has flaws, regardless if you would like to see them or not.

I guess every college player should be labeled as a "bust" because he hasn't played a down in the NFL. Why are there people scouting players from college if it doesn't mean anything? Why is there even a draft????

That, and many guys who look great on tape don't make it in the NFL.

Even without being injured.

Nobody's rooting against him, it's just hard to have high expectations.  That's why, IMO, it's better to have none.

Obviously every player has flaws. He might flat out suck from his ACL injury as well. You on the other hand said he got "stoned" by every tackle in college, but... he didn't. Nice way to change the subject by calling me a homer though, that's funny.

A clean up sack while 'beating' two half [BLEEP] blocks from a TE and a RB? A sack where the LT set so deep and gave Fowler so much of a head start that literally all he had to do was touch him extremely weakly and reach out and tackle the QB that was less than a yard away? Give me a break dude you can't be that biased. Neither of those show a single positive trait from Fowler except for a good motor.
Who are some of those tackles he beat in those gifs? Are they even in the NFL?
