I don't see the Jags not starting Linder and Cann at guard next year. Cann has looked really good as the season has gone on, you don't bench a third round guy who has started well.

This. I think they sign a center or sign a guard and move Cann to center. No way Linder and Cann aren't both starting next year.

I must say after watching some draftbreakdown video of Jaylon Smith...consider me a fan.

 

He plays all over the field and he looked great in coverage.

Falls off tackles and gets swallowed up against college linemen a bit too much for my liking.

I love that game at Fanspeak with their mock draft game.

Rd 1(16): DeForest Buckner - DE - Oregon - would rotate with Odrick at the Big DE position - more pass rush than Odrick

Rd 2(47): Noah Spence - DE Leo - Eastern Kentucky - rotate him with Dante Fowler at Leo spot

Rd 3(79): Desmond King - CB - Iowa - need more depth at the CB spot

Rd 4(111): Vernon Butler - DT - Louisiana Tech - 3 Tech DT could be major sleeper in this draft

Rd 5(142): Yannick Ngakoue - DE Leo - Maryland - can the Jags have enough pass rushers - I don't think so

Rd 6(173) Antonio Morrision - ILB - Florida - backup to Poz - 3rd down ILB

Rd 6(184): Jonathan Williams - RB - Arkansas - Jags need more depth at RB and this guy is an inside RB to replace Gerhart

Rd 7(205): Kevin Byard - SS - Middle Tennessee - Jags need more depth at SS to push Cyprien

 

Imagine a Free Agency that included these signings

 

1. Alex Mack - C - Browns - starting center - Wiz becomes Free Agent

2. Trumaine Johnson - CB - Rams - starting CB opposite House with Colvin as nickle

3. Tashaun Gipson - FS - Browns - starting FS

4. Olivier Vernon - DE - Dolphins - rotates with Dante Fowler - maybe Folwer goes to Otto

5. Nigel Bradham - SLB - Bills - starting Otto LB - backup LB

6. Dwayen Allen - TE - Colts - replaces Marcedes Lewis as inline TE

LOLOLOL King in the 3rd!!! He isnt coming out and he would be a 1st round pick if he was. 

A bit early but watch Da'Shawn Hand from Alabama next year (2016) for the 2017 NFL Draft (if he doesn't stay for his senior year).

 

He's on the incredible front 30 of Alabama which will keep him healthy, but next year he might get more exposure to show his potential in the NFL.

This guy is the DE that the Jaguars need!

 

Fun Fact: Hand was the #1 recruit coming out of HS his year

Eh, he was the #1 DE in the class, not #1 overall.

I'm expecting a lineup of Joeckel, Cann, Wiz/Bowanko/rookie, Linder and Parnell along the OL next year.

 

Guys, don't look now, but I think we might actually have a competent offensive line next season.

I like the CBS board best, but they don't update often. I generally just use the FanSpeak board. Really don't like the Drafttek one.

I just used the CBS version and walked away with OLBs in the first three rounds; Myles Jack, Su'a Cravens, and Jalen Reeves-Maybin. It's just how everything broke for me.

If you want a real under the radar prospect from Alabama, there's Tim Williams who is eligible for this draft, but I haven't heard which way he's leaning yet. Incredible athlete with burst off the edge to die for.

2 - Carl Nassib PENN DE - Nations sack leader and still learning. WIll sit behind Odrik and play the 5T when Odrik slides over to the 3T

3 - John Theus UGA T - Local kid who will push Joeckel and Parnell

4 - Joe Schobert WIS LB - Pass rushing LB to be the OTTO of the future.

5 - Jake McGee UF TE - Number 2 TE and another target for Blake

6 - Devon Johnson MAR RB - Big bruising back who can also play some FB

6 - Ka'imi Fairbuirn UCLA K - Hopefully ends our little kicker problem

7 - Alex McCalister LEO UF - Very lean and has character concerns but still a good, late round project. Could be another Bobby McCray

There is no way this regime spends that pick on a LEO. This is true because that means one of your last 2 first rounders will not be a starter. As a GM, you don't pick 1st rounders to be "situational". 

 

FA is a different story.
