No. You misunderstood. I didn't ask what YOU would be picking.
I'd love for us to pick Vernon Hargreaves III, but that probably isn't too smart considering we have Colvin, McCray and House. Although, it'd be fun to have four above average CB's.

I think having HOUSE will only propel us to pick Hargreaves if he's on the board.
Depending on the progress of our current roster, I can see one of these players as the first pick next year:

Myles Jack

Jaylon Smith

Jaylen Ramsay

Ronnie Stanley

Vernon Hargreaves

Since I expect the Jags to be picking somewhere between picks 5 and 10, at least a couple of these guys will be on the board. The only guy I would not be happy about is Stanley, because that would mean Joeckel didn't improve and is officialy a bust.

Offensive line would be my first pick.  Hope we'll see a lot of improvement there having brought in Parnell.  But I think we'll go into next season wanting to upgrade at least one of the two positions on the left side of the line.

As it stands, I would go with one of the following players.

Vernon Hargreaves

A'Shawn Robinson

Left Tackle (Really don't want to draft one already, but its probably needed)

Kyler Fackrell could be a LB to target in 3rd round or so to help with the LB. As much as I like Jaylon Smith, I feel this is a deeper LB draft right now.
No clue at this point but just guessing there is a good chance it will be a linebacker. Or a big tackle like A'Shawn Robinson. They need some youth on the front 7.

Are you assuming Cann isn't the answer at left guard?

This is a pretty solid little list to go off of as of right now. I would also add in Scooby.
I think we will look hard at Jalen Ramsey.

Our offense should be "set" and we will have Fowler returning.

That leaves some starpower lacking at LB and at FS, which is where I would play Ramsey. Draft Ramsey and then hope a good LB falls to us later.

exactly my thoughts.

LOL. I couldn't help rolling my eyes when I read that guy talking about how having House will stop us from drafting VHIII.

Scoobie Wright is a secon rounder.
Jaylon Smith is a good one

My way too early mock draft looks like this:

Jags end up with 7-9 record and draft 12th in each round.

Rd 1(12): Jaylon Smith - ILB - Notre Dame - Jags need to start looking for Poz's replacement

Jags trade their Rd 6 Pick plus Pick 44 to move up to Pick 37 and take:

Rd 2(37): Carl Lawson - DE/Leo - Auburn - Jags need to be able to rotate at the Leo position

Rd 3(76): Ricky Seal Jones - WR - Texas A&M - Big WR with big upside - combo Move TE - WR

Jags trade their other Rd 6 and their Rd 4 Pick to move up to the end of Rd 3 and grab:

Rd 3(96): Kyle Murphy - OLT - Stanford - Jags need a quality swing tackle that can play behind Joeckel

Rd 5(140): Antonio Morrison - LB - Florida - 2 years removed from knee injury in East Carolina Bowl game

Jags need to use their later round picks to selectively move up and grab quality players in the early rounds.

Give me Hargreaves or Ramsey in the 1st and Scooby Wright in the 2nd and I am a happy camper.
Don't believe Jaylon will last until #12 but I totally agree with the pick. I believe he can play both MIKE and OTTO

I think our receivers are pretty good with the exception that they have no true #1

The Jags definitely need a swing tackle better than Young

Need a vet #2 QB better than Henne IMO

Need a #2 SS to replace Evans IMO

Better depth at corner wouldn't hurt

... but I don't think the Jags need to draft a starting corner
A 6th rd pick wouldn't move you from #44 to #37. It would probably take at least a 4th.

Sign Yanda to play LG and Mack to play center and draft Stanley or Tunsil. Trade Joeckel for whatever you can get since he will be on his last year of his contract. Oline is rebuilt with Tunsil/Stanley, Yanda, Mack, Linder, Parnell and depth in Bowanko and Cann.
Jags end with a 6-10 record and pick 8th in each round.

Free Agency:

Olivier Vernon - DE - Dolphins - 5 Yrs - 50 Million - Rotates with Dante Fowler at Leo moves to Otto on Passing Downs

Dwayne Allen - TE - Colts - 5 Yrs - 35 Million - Replaces Marcedes Lewis as No. 2 TE

Draft:

Rd 1(8): Ronnie Stanley - OLT - Notre Dame

Jags move Joeckel to OLG and trade Zane Beadles to Dolphins for Rd 5 Pick (Pick 150)

Rd 2(40): Jordan Jenkins - OLB (Otto) - Georgia - Backup Otto as rookie

Rd 3(72): Duke Williams - WR - Auburn - Another Big WR

Rd 4(108): Dadi Nicolas - DE Leo - Va. Tech - Pass Rush specialist

Rd 5(140): Bryce Williams - TE - East Carolina - Inline TE to backup Dwayne Allen

Rd 5(150): Terrance Smith - WLB - FSU - Backup WLB (Zane Beadles trade)

Rd 6(172): Brian Poole - CB - Florida

Rd 6(180) Josh Harvey Clemons - SS - Louisville (Josh Scobee trade)

Rd 7(212): Antwaun Woods - NT - Southern California
