Quote:Quite different from the Mularkey era "PROTECT THE BALL ALWAYS" mantra.
I think Mularkey plays as big a role as anyone/anything in ruining Gabbert.
The whole protect the ball act was ridiculous. Why would you intentionally produce a game manager?
Quote:Nice!
I can't take credit for it, i saw it somewhere can't remember where but it stuck in my head!
who cares? Is there really a difference??

As does Jack Del Idiot. Gabbert never should have been thrown into the starting lineup when he was. He wasn't anywhere near ready, combined with a horrible supporting offensive cast.
Recipe for disaster.
That press conference was great!
Gabbert, come on, get this right.
Anyone who wishes for the team to lose should be removed from this website. Go troll at bigcat.

Pardon me for wanting what is best for this franchise.
I was wrong the year we had a shot at RGIII or Andrew Luck. We needed to lose those games, the win against the colts in that last game only put us just out of reach for the top QB prospects. I don't want to see that happen this year. Give me the chance to take THE man at QB over winning 4 or 5 games. I'm tired of the QB play this team has had for the last 13+ years. It's time to get the franchise QB in here. This year there appears to be one at the top and if that's the case, I want him. If 0-16 for a year is what it takes then bring it on. Of course it's up to Caldwell and the scouts to make the right choice and a prospect always has a chance to not pan out but I am ready for that chance. Caldwell didn't take a QB last year for a reason.
woohoo now I can actually watch a jags game and be optimistic about the outcome

Blaylock reported today that Gus revealed Blaine is a "pleaser"... he tries too hard to please everyone, his teammates, his coaches, etc. and they are trying to break him of that so he'll be a little more reckless and risk taking.
Quote:Seriously, Henne and Gabbert are basically the same guy. Hopefully the offensive line won't have to duck for Gabbert's passes.
The only difference between the two is henne is bad but throws over 200 yards while gabbert is bad but throws about 150

You realize he sucks too right?

He's also not a franchise QB. I await the day they reveal that.

You haven't figured it out yet? There was too much to fix this season, that's painfully obvious.
Say we drafted a QB, we'd have ended up ruining that QB too. Like the Browns wasting their pick on Weeden, we'd be blowing it up and drafting yet another QB soon enough after and stayed bad.
The QBs this season were pure fodder. No use wasting a good one.

Finally a coach says it.. ...probably won't make a difference anyway but at least it was stated

The problem is he always pleases the other team and the other defense.

Chaine Henbert
That's gold. Chaine Henbert. I may break my long held stand against buying stupid football jerseys and get a Henbert one.
Gold.

If you hadn't noticed, there are 31 teams who would be pleased to have us on their schedule.
