He’s just an average coach.

Are there ANY smart coaches out there that have some intense masculine energy??

I think Harbaugh and Tomlin should be the standard not NE. I like McVay too.
No more fat, aging, old bland dudes please. Give me a leader of men, who’s got some intense brains and doesn’t RA RA RA like Bradley.

He turned it down because Kraft told him he was New England's coach in waiting.

Probably because he coached Favre to some of his most efficient seasons and Rodgers developed exclusively under his coaching. Would Rodgers have been Rodgers without McCarthy? Obviously impossible to tell, but based on what we have to go off, McCarthy's resume in terms of QB development is pretty good. Whether the game passed him by or not is another story, but I'm not opposed to using McCarthy like the Broncos and Bears used John Fox to get the core working solidly and fundamentally before moving on and trying to find a coach to take the team over the hump, since I'm not sure McCarthy can still be that guy.
For all the big talk and how we will fix it the last 4 weeks....

I don't want to be that guy but none of them are earning a right to come back.

4 embarssments in a row.
Was high on McCarthy but I am starting to favor Stefanski with the Vikings and Bieniemy with the Chiefs.

General manager wise I still say it should be ideally Rick Smith. Since he's familar with this division having built the tinhorns. Or Mike Borgonzi from the Chiefs given Ballards success with the clots.

did anyone catch the footage of Coughlin clapping and Tony Khan looking completely dejected??? I want a screenshot of that

Wonder if that stems from one of them wanting Foles in and the other not...

Regardless, sounds like TC is overstepping... I've been ready to send TC on his way for a while now, but I think this is all the proof we need that everyone needs to go.

If this unsubstantiated rumor is even true, I'd put my money on it being about the 15 penalties.

Maybe he was happy Marrone put the final nail in his coffin.

I think Mike Smith was Coughlin's preferred choice all along.

Not that I know any more than you, obviously, but what exactly does Doug yell back at Tom if that is the premise?

TC: "15 penalties is ridiculous."

Doug: "No it's not"?

The way the tweet reads makes it sound like there was a disagreement; I would imagine--or at least hope--that both Doug and TC agree 15 penalties is embarrassing. That's why I went towards Foles/Minshew, because I could at least see an argument for both sides (Foles is terrible vs he's being paid $88 mil).

But I'm sure we'll all learn more about this in the coming days.

If you have memory of Coughlin pressers from the 90's and his displeasure with penalties then you'll understand why I might think he's frustrated watching Marrone being unable to coach them out of his offensive linemen week after week after week...

I have no doubt Coughlin's frustrated with the penalties, especially because it's been a recurring theme for 2-3 years now. I just don't know how Marrone responds to make it a "shouting match" rather than just "Coughlin unloaded on Marrone."

But hey, like you said, this isn't even a substantiated rumor yet. So ultimately this all could be moot speculation.
Our pets heads are falling off!

That and him not being able to control his locker room.

Also, all the mistakes and undisciplined play on the field.

I bet Marrone quits before he gets fired.

No thanks to Josh McDaniels.  The Belichick tree is poisonous.

I'd like to see us bring in an offensive mind.  I'm kinda surprised Pete Carmichael and Greg Roman haven't been head coaches somewhere yet.
I say you bench Marrone and Coughlin and bring in someone else so they can learn while watching.

Apparently you learn more from watching than playing....

Blake Bortles is not retiring anytime soon and the Rams job is not even open ..... LOL

In all reality, how really good is the kingdom when Brady and Belichick both depart?
