2022 is the ideal target date for me. I think they'll have this year and next year but by 2022 I expect Khan to be leaning more and more towards London. The NFL has a boner for wanting to dip it's hands in everything. Especially along the international bracket.

If the new CBA goes through, the Jaguars will be locked into Jacksonville through the 2025 season. After that, the NFL and the NFLPA are free to discuss additional overseas games.

...but yeah, you'd be a fool if you don't believe that one of the closed-door CBA topics was, "What happens when the Jaguars move to London for the 2026 season?".

I think it's inevitable. Wasn't aware of that locked in option through 2025 though.

I still wonder if they'll push for 50/50 games played somehow between here and there. One game was enough to begin with. Two games now this year is really pushing it, especially after Khan's dumb [BLEEP] remarks about the local fans actually being in favor of it for some goofy reason I can't bother to remember or look up at the moment.

But if they aim for three or four home games over in London per year?

What's the [BLEEP] point of having a team in Jacksonville anymore? It would be a slap in the face to the little bit of fans still trying to support it. It's hard not to be cynical and pessimistic right now. Especially locally.

Don't worry, they're not doing anything in Free Agency the next couple of years outside of a stop gap signing.

Bingo.

I’m aware on how comp picks are awarded. I highly doubt they are going to sign a 100 million dollar free agent this year or next. Which is what Yan is going to get if we let him walk.
I'd say we will spend most of our available cap in FA. Especially with almost 100 million in space next year, no need to roll anything over

I predict Yannick will fall off the wagon with another team. His body won't hold up. Coughlin was right to pick on him for being a liability against the run. I hope Caldwell can deal him to Seattle (a team that likes to trade its low 1st rounders) for a 1st and 3rd.
From today's O'zone

Craig from Jacksonville
Do you think Yannick can get $22 million per year on the open market?

I suppose it's possible Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue could get $22 million a year as an unrestricted free agent, but I don't anticipate learning for certain this offseason. That's because I don't expect the Jaguars and Ngakoue to agree to a long-term deal this offseason, and I do expect the Jaguars to place the franchise tag on him. I also don't expect the Jaguars to trade him in that scenario, which means he likely will play for the Jaguars on a one-year deal in 2020 or he won't play at all. Could Ngakoue get $22 million a year on the open market? Considering he has been an eight-sack player the past two seasons, it's questionable – but considering the premium placed on pass-rushing talent, it's possible. Teams overpay pass rushers in unrestricted free agency, so he likely would push to $20 million a season or so. That would be big, life-changing money. And I imagine Ngakoue eventually will have a good chance to get that money. I just seriously doubt it will be from the Jaguars, and I seriously doubt it will be this season.
8 sack player the past two seasons is good mathing ozone.
I think Josh Allen will end up being better.

He is better already

Agreed, but lets not discount what Yannick has accomplished for us either.

Its always better to have 2 stud DE's. I just hope we don't make the same mistakes with some of our highly acclaimed players, like Jalen and Yan, and their potential resignings.

'Ole Tommy really screwed us there.

Still asking the same question: Why would they be locked into Jacksonville through the 2025 season?

Because no team can play more than 3 games out of the country until then? That's how I read it.

I would jump on a 3rd for him and I love Campbell. He’s just not part of the future plans considering this team is headed towards a top 10 pick.... again.

Hell no I wouldn't, I want to win in the future and I also want to win this year.  I think he means a lot for the development of Allen, Bryan, and Kinlaw or Brown.

From a football standpoint you're right, but maybe they want to shed salary from a business standpoint, or to build up more rollover cap space into the future.

Yep, gonna need that cap space because the dollars to pounds conversion rate is a [BLEEP].

Theyll have at least 70 million in space next year

Quote:The deal also limits the number of international games the league can hold to 10 in any season through 2025. After that, players and owners could meet to determine whether more international games are warranted. If a team plays more than one international game in a season, its players each get $5,000 stipends for each additional game. This will help offset the tax implications of, say, the Jaguars having to play two home games a year in London.

If the league can only play 10 games per year internationally, it's unlikely (at best) that they'd give eight of those to the Jaguars. Come 2026, when this provision expires, bye Jacksonville.

Them playing 4 would be saying goodbye to Jacksonville. Which can be easily done under the CBA rules
