Yea! Bring in Clowney and those 3 sacks!
Eh, you sound like haunting raven. If you watched any Seahawks games last year you would have seen that he was constantly wreaking havoc despite being constantly double teamed. Hes also great against the run. Imo he's a much better player than Yan, and I love Yan.

That was the point lol
When you only use sacks as a baseline for how good a DE is, you already lost the argument.

Okay, I wasnt picking up on the sarcasm. I appreciate the post a lot more now. Glad we dont have any other clowns around here like haunting raven basing a players impact solely on one statistic.

Except I also watched every game so I know Yan is bad vs the run and he didn't put constant pressure on the QBs, especially vs good competition. I posted where his sacks were and most of them were vs backup OT's.
There is a reason why nobody wants to give him more than 20 millions per year, because he is not worth that, period.
I also find extremly funny how none of the Yan fans wanna answer why the Pats put 2 guys on Fowler multiple times and still got his 2 sacks, yet Yan was vs 1 guy all night and couldn't even register a tackle lol

bro Yan is decent. Fowler is decent. Fowler did more when it counted for us than Yann in the playoffs. Yann fans are going to say he is near elite/above average regardless of what others say. Let it die and just hope we can get a replacement for him that will excel vs strong competition and not just the meh types.

....and that still relates to the original conversation how?
Someone called you out for basically doing the same this Yan is doing (screaming into the void about how upset you are about [thing]), and your response is bikers are buttheads?
Cool, cool.
You're the one that italicized that part of my post....

I still want Yan on this team, elite or not, we are better with him. However, I would not break the bank beyond market value. It seems like the market value is being set quite a bit below what Yan imagined.

Yeah it even looks like the franchise tag is over paying him at this point

FWIW last season Clowney finished with a higher pressure %, and pass rush win rate, all while getting double teamed more. Not to mention Clowney is an elite run defender. I think him and a 1st might be > Yan. He's more of an injury risk though.

It won’t happen, but Clowney and Allen would be an amazing combo. Couple that with getting a pick/player for Ngakoue, would be so sweet.
The Seahawks and Clowney sound pretty close to a deal to keep him there.

I would assume Yan follows after that if anything goes down.
By all accounts, the Jags are offering Yan the most money. Also, everything I’ve read is he is mad about being lowballed last year by Coughlin.
Coughlin isn’t here anymore and he is turning down crazy money. There is either more to this story or he and his agent are dumb.

Caldwell was a huge part of that front office man. And they were all part of the organization with so many NFLPA grievances, they also project to be not good.
People need to try remember this, it isn't *just* Coughlin, same way it wasn't just Coughlin for Jalen either
Also teams don't really have any incentive to go after Yannick now, they can outwait the Jags
So Fowler signs 3 yr 48 mil for the dirty birds but 3 yrs 57 mil wasn't good enough for yan. Now I'm really smdh.

One player has been significantly better than the other since they were drafted
This speculated Clowney deal is wild. Heard 2 year 27 million....

Dilla has gained quite a foothold.

Some people over estimate their value. He honestly thought he was going to make up that $17 million he gave up last year. Now he is going to make even less than he would have and he may make $0 if he wants off the Jags.
I'm glad players are sign real deals now though that are 2-3 years and not the fake 5-6 year deals that everyone knows won't last more than 3 years.
