No matter how anyone tries to spin it, Yan felt disrespected by what the team offered him last year. None of us officially know but the consistent number we've all heard was $19 million a year. He decided to gamble on himself by refusing the offer and playing out his final year and entering free agency. (that is perfectly fine) The moment the last seconds ticked off the clock he started being cryptic about being done with Jacksonville. Just before free agency he announces (for no real reason) that he "will not sign a long term deal with Jacksonville". Obviously the team franchize tags him at just over $17mil. I must add that I've never heard anyone in the organization say one bad word about him. Fast forward to free agency and so far, no pass rusher has signed for more than 17 a year. So in the end, the original offer was more than fair. I love the guys work ethic, tenacity and what was a humble demeano. Where we're at currently is all based on his decisions. In my opinion he would only make bad decisions worse by not playing and playing hard on the tag.
well, looks like the "market" has spoken and he found out the hard way ....
he should taken the Jaguars offer.

Weird, according to people here he is an elite pass rusher and he is not bad vs the run....
Too bad it is only in this MB where people believe that, everyone else in the league knows he is good but far from great.

We are 25 hours into the 2020 league year. I think you may be a little premature on this proclamation.
We need to trade his [BLEEP] and give that money to Clowney. Clowney and a 1st is much better than Yan
We need help this year. Not 2021

I would prefer a 2021 1st plus mid rounder than just a 2020 1st. 3 1sts in the Lawrence/Fields draft could be franchise changing.
2 top 10 1st round picks and the 22nd pick from Philly in 2021.
Yes please! With a new GM of course.

Harleys are the most annoying things on the roads.. and the people that remove the muffler are the worst of the worst.
....and that still relates to the original conversation how?
Someone called you out for basically doing the same this Yan is doing (screaming into the void about how upset you are about [thing]), and your response is bikers are buttheads?
Cool, cool.
Just want it over already.. Trade him.. He doesn't want to be here..

Exactly. Hicken was saying on 1010XL this morning that it sounds like our front office has made several attempts to work a deal out with him and he's pretty much severed all ties and contact with the them in return.
We want fair compensation naturally. But the problem is that the market is simply saying "No sir, you're not worth what you think you are" and now it's put us in a [BLEEP] spot. I'll take a player and a pick for him at this point.

Yeah, but you still gotta shop around. I'm all for dumping his [BLEEP], but you have to get some decent compensation and if there's one thing that Caldwell does seem capable of is getting something pretty good for these clowns.

I think he'll get something good for him. It just depends on how the rest of free agency plays out and potentially the draft. Maybe if Clowney signs up somewhere it'll have a ripple effect for Ngakoue's value elsewhere.
With Fowler Jr. signed, Quinn signed and a few other decent edge rushers signed up it probably will come down to where Clowney lands.

I would rather take a chance on Golden from the Giants at this point. Coming off a good year. He'll cost you far less than Clowney. You can play him at DE/OLB as well.
