If the league can only play 10 games per year internationally, it's unlikely (at best) that they'd give eight of those to the Jaguars. Come 2026, when this provision expires, bye Jacksonville.

Them playing 4 would be saying goodbye to Jacksonville. Which can be easily done under the CBA rules

Yes, but still not moving until 2026, which I don't think will happen.

Yannick Ngakoue: Non-exclusive Franchise Tag
- 2020 Salary: $17.788M

- 211 pressures since 2016 (@NextGenStats) only trail Aaron Donald & Von Miller
- 1 of 7 players in NFL history w/ 8.0+ sacks in each of first 4 seasons

- @Jaguars have until July 15 to sign to long-term deal

Yan is without a doubt an ELITE Pass Rusher. Anybody who thinks otherwise is truly lost.
But he can't stop the run!!!
Vito Stellino spent this morning saying over and over that number 1 priority for Yannick is to not play for the Jaguars again.

Dilla posted this about other teams money offers to Yannick:

Lol.. what an idiot. Seriously.. does the guy even have the IQ of a mustard plant?
At this point, we will be horrible anyway. Just hold on to him and make him play. The guys using the draft picks we get for him will blow them anyway, so its all moot.

Make him stay!

It will depend on what his next choice is. He already threw away ~$17 million this past year.

If he sits out, like I think he will, he will definitely be stupid. He seems to confuse fairness with reality of a CBA. The world isn't fair and the CBA definitely isn't fair as it protects some players and hurts others.
Ngakoue is represented by a rapper owned agent firm. It should be a shock to nobody he continues to make one bad decision after the next.

I would never hire a painter to re-pipe my house.
Is anyone else as tired of this drama as I am? The amount of players that pull the 'disrespect' card is mind boggling.

They don't even know what the meaning of the word is.

They are playing a sport.

Their brains would never even get them a job paying 30k a year.

Let that truly sink in, Players. You're useless except for entertainment.

Ngakoue's agent has degrees from Univ. of Wisconsin and Tulane and was the Director of Football Administration for the NFL's New York Jets for seven years.

Or did you think that everyone that works for a Shawn Carter owned business used to sling drugs in the Bronx with him 30 years ago?

I think you underestimate the mind of man. I mean, I know this guy in the hood that sells real estate, cuts hair and does electrical work.  He excels at it all.  IJS- Don't blame this on "The Rapper" (the billionaire rapper)- I'm sure there's plenty of blame to go around.

That's the baffling part about him.  The first 3 years, he seemed like such a humble and hard working guy.  SOMETHING happened last year that got in his head.  Funny thing is: there are SO many players that are legit BRILLIANT: Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, G for the Chiefs is an M.D.!

Myron Rolle: Former All American for the Noles and S for the tacks: Rhodes Scholar

Alan Page: Hall of Fame DE for the Vikings and Bears, got his J.D. while playing and later served on the Minnesota State Supreme Court

However, statistics being what they are....it is estimated that 78 percent of NFL players wind up bankrupt or in financial distress after their career is over.  Sitting out over 'disrespect' while having 17 million worth of low hanging fruit just SITTING there ripe for the picking isn't all that smart....

I mean, of course there are exceptions. But the vast majority truly are short-sighted and stupid

When you hang around thugs like Jalen Ramsey & Telvin Smith, it creates a toxic workplace and can have negative impacts on even the most humble of people. Not to mention he switched his representation to a rapper owned firm.

Well, this is true.  I think thats what Melvin Gordon eluded to last season after his pointless holdout- bad advise

People telling on themselves. Never ceases to amaze me.

Does it matter who owns the firm??

You said you wouldn't hire a plumber to paint your house.  That's not what happened here.

He hired an experienced agent to be his agent.  That agent works for a firm owned by a rapper.
Who gives a [BLEEP] ?
Is Shawn Carter telling Ari Nissim how to negotiate Ngakoue's contract?

Ngakoue needs to fire his agent. And stop with the B.S. I don't think he'll sit out the year. He can't afford that.

I think he'll naturally ride out the entirety of training camp and probably the preseason but he'll sign in time to start by week one. His position and situation is not the same as LeVeon Bell's. And the fact that we've still thrown the most money at him should be all the answers he needs as far as his value is concerned.

No player should be sniffing $20M+ per year unless they're putting up Reggie White numbers. J.J Watt doesn't even make that yearly and he's literally one of the best to come around in decades. Even with the injuries he was able to sneak in a 16.0 sack season over the last four years. Double Ngakoue's numbers.

Ngakoue barely shows up in the tackle department. It's not even close. Go back and look at Reggie White's numbers. Or J.J Watt's numbers. They did EVERYTHING on defense. Ngakoue is a one trick pony asking for horse shires money. GTFO!
