If they do, something's either going very wrong or very right.

Not rockets. That sounds fun.

In addition to diplomatic activities promoting national reconciliation and dialogue, the United States invests in Yemen's people and economy.

The United States is one of the largest donors to Yemen in terms of humanitarian and developmental assistance and works closely with U.N.

More US tax dollars hard at work in supporting countries that hate us.

Gotta love it.

We're not just supporting countries that hate us, we're also supporting people currently in THIS country that hate us as well. (Half of them are our own Congress men and women)

Yemen is in a civil war.  We support some of the factions.  Not the Houthis.  The Houthis fired the rocket

Yemen is a [BLEEP] hole !!   Heck, even that traitor girl from Alabama who went to Syria to support ISIS and is now in one of their holding camps refused to go to Yemen when the US denied her visa to come back to the US but stated she could take up sanction in Yemen since her dad is a native of that country.  Kind of sad because it could be a beautiful place with all of that coastline and mountains.

I would freeze tax dollars entering any foreign land tied to any foreign threat. It's irresponsible to trust these people in the first place and even if they're trying to be good with our tax dollars who is to say it's not being stolen from the enemies in that region?

It's just reckless.

I tend to agree.  Saudi Arabia should be their biggest donor, not us.
Saw a story today that the odds of World War 3 beginning in the next year is 50%. That's pretty high. Crazy.

https://www.livemint.com/news/world-war-...75141.html

Iran is the key in all of this. If their government gets involved and starts a war with Israel by defending Hezbollah, then this thing could explode. I don't think Russia or China will get involved in the Gaza situation, but Russia/Iran will support each other as allied, and if we send all our resources to help Israel fight off Iran, you can pretty much take it to the bank that China will see the golden opportunity to go into Taiwan, drawing us into that conflict. Next thing you know, there's three separate wars going on in different parts of the world, with our military involved in two of them. Of course, the UN/Nato prolly gets involved as well.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but I've heard some military analysts discuss that possibility. I have some friends and co-workers who just got deployed over to the Middle East. Hopefully this stays contained.

Lost in all of this discussion is had it not been for Bill Clinton giving them guidance and missile technology they might still be 20 years behind us.  Yet here we are.

Gird your loins and be wary of links you open. In response to charges of genocide committed by Israelis on the Gaza Strip, Israel has decided to publicly release the most disturbing footage of attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians. One purported to be the extraction of a baby from the womb of its dead mother and left to dangle on its umbilical cord. We’ve already heard about the beheading of children.

Please don’t post that stuff here.

I don't blame them and must admit that the more I see, I almost think any rebellious action may be justified.  Just cannot believe Hamas didn't care about placing the Palestinian citizen in grave danger that would result from their planned killings, especially in a manner that they did this to innocent Israeli civilians.

Agreed. Last two links I shared were strictly political talking points. I have personally seen enough death online with this conflict. I am beginning to feel mentally drained and tired from it all.

I told my wife to stop bothering with me at home about it. I was already on that train a week ago. Trying to stay off of it now. I don't know how the hell these men and women in the military have done it forever.

Only a beast can kill without feeling. I can see why so many people come back from combat completely [BLEEP] up, mentally destroyed and exhausted with so many issues with PTSD.

That [BLEEP] is heartbreaking. There's a sense of nobility to it but there's also a sense of severe sadness. Nobody should have to go through this. Nobody. I truly feel sorry for the innocent civilians on both sides caught in this [BLEEP] but man, it's tough, very, very tough.

More power to those that can go through that and come back home somewhat functional. It's brutal. I remember being a kid, somehow I ended up going down that rabbit hole of faces of death and I saw that Nick Berg video. It bothered me for a week. I was seeing floating heads in my dreams.

I have since seen far worse. There's a website called YNC. Stay away from it if you can. There's truly wicked [BLEEP] out there. Especially south of our border. Those Cartels do things to people that make this War look like a brisk walk in the park.

No. I have seen more on the ground damage than that. Including children with their heads blown off completely, a Dad carrying his infant child in pieces in a bag, a little boy saying goodbye to his brother and asking for a strand of his hair to remember him by, Christian churches leveled, etc.

I have seen enough. Babies, not toddlers, babies, that cannot even speak nor walk yet, completely maimed or riddled with wounds or shaking like a combat veteran from the sheer amount of bombs and explosions going off in Gaza.

It's pretty sadistic at this point. I know it's a long history of this happening on both sides. Everybody knows that any major religion at one point had it's day as top dog on the globe and went about it's business going after non conformists, etc.

History is brutal. Mankind is brutal. The truth is usually brutal. I just can't take it anymore. Call me gutless or spineless. I don't really care. It's inhumane the way we're treating each other and how we're being asked to take sides in all of this. It's disgusting. Shameful and disgusting.
