I think you're half right and half wrong. We're not voting for clowns in the US. I think we're voting for puppets and pawns doing the bidding of the highest bidders with desires and needs to expand via resources, arms and intelligence.
We're the merchants of death. We have a base everywhere. We have intelligence everywhere. We have more money invested and tied up in military advancement, foreign welfare and programs and expansions beyond our territory.
You're half wrong in that regard. You're half right about the terrorism over there. It's a soup of ideals and old standing traditions that everybody has an opinion on. Some will willingly sign up and die as martyr's for their land.
No different than what the US fought for during the Revolutionary War and Civil War. We grew out of that, thankfully, but, it could easily happen again here at any given point if the economy collapses to the point to where it becomes truly feast or famine, sink or swim, etc.
Ultimately. As stated numerous times on this thread and others. Why is the US involved with both sides? Why is the US Tax payer having to pay for both sides while our futures are being bled dry and the retirement age keeps moving backwards?

I read about it yesterday. That was a question I had posed earlier in this thread and it's an interesting point.
After Israel is done teeing off on their children, eldery, women and disabled? Do we really want to absorb anybody left from there?
We all know the answer to that question. We don't. Just like we don't want anymore drugs, cartel members and issues coming up through the Texas border.

It's absolutely infuriating how money is spent - but linking a UN relief agency to HAMAS just because it endeavors to help Palestinians is a major stretch here.
The messed up part is supporting Israel's military the way we do and then turning around and providing humanitarian relief efforts to the people Israel is making life difficult for.
Helping a UN relief effort for war-torn refugees in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but when you're also funding the ppl displacing them...

There are about 150,000 to 200,000 Palestinians in the US already. They are not making trouble. Unfortunately about a third of them decided to settle in Dearborn Michigan which kinda makes the area a ghetto but it's far from the worst ghetto in this country. We can take in another 200,000 *well vetted* Palestinians easily. Egypt and the gulf Arab states can easily take in about that many each as well. 1 million refugees is a manageable problem if you spread it out over a year, spread it out over the developed world, and silence the clown politicians that want to make a big deal about it.
