Reich got a raw deal with the clots and especially Carolina. Surprised he's not coaching this year.

Would be one hell of a coaching staff in 2025 if Bill Belichick got a HC gig and managed to pull in Frank Reich as an OC and Mike Vrabel as a DC for a year or two.

Could see that happening with the Giants or Jets.

I can not see either working under Bill, but never say never.

Depends on how we're winning. If the D is doing the scoring or we're still dog doo in short yardage / failing to get plays in to the QB, can't really say winning cures everything. It wouldn't be sustainable.
You guys need to just stop. Pay attention. The only person on a hot seat this year is our offensive line coach. Well unless Kahn/Baalkie can get Frank Riech to be interested in the OC job here. I see that as a long shot. In that case who knows.
Meh. This popped up in my suggestions. I still expect them to get on a winning streak.

You can be a Superbowl Contender, even if you barely make the play off's. Regardless of Khan's statements.

The right question is about Trent's seat.

Personally Kahn has owned the team for a bit now. He has always been adept at learning. The last few years from how he has been talking lately he started developing his own idea of what kind of team he wants. I believe he now knows how to evaluate the GM and ALL of the coaches.  The question no longer is not if their seats are hot, it is can they be upgraded based on the talent available in the market. (is the juice worth the squeeze?)

I agree with that assessment.

many here paint Khan as an idiot that doesn't care and I think that is very much not the case.
There has been a lot of Belicheck smoke for this team the last few days.

He's one of the best coaches of all time (if not the best) but would it work in Jacksonville? Don't know.

Depends who he brings in for the offense, and if he is okay working with someone else as GM.

I want nothing to do with McDaniels. I think that offense is outdated and honestly has only ever worked with Tom Brady.

I also don't want to give him full control of the roster like he had in New England towards the end. He needs someone else there who isn't afraid to disagree with him on player evaluations.
Belichick probably wants another chance at coaching. I would primarily seek him out as a consultant or Vice President of Football Operations.

Another set of names worth mentioning. Thomas Dimitroff, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots. As well as Rick Smith. Formerly of the Houston tinhorns. And lastly, Rick Spielman, formerly of the Minnesota Vikings.

I think before we get into discussions regarding coaching changes or front office changes. Khan absolutely needs a football mind with a strong background and track record of putting together scouting teams, competent rosters and coaching staffs.

If this team collapses into the abyss? He has to clean house completely this time. Nothing else can be left in the fridge, the pantry, the freezer, the garage fridge and freezer, the cellar, whatever.

It all must go this time. Hire a team like Washington's new owner did, let them do the leg work, and then you go from there.

With all the talk of Belichick coming to Jacksonville, I was pretty excited about it at first.  After thinking about it, though, I've changed my mind.  He is no doubt the GOAT when it comes to head coaches, but he had his own system that he drafted everyone to fit into.

How many of our current players could fit into that system?  Probably a lot of them, but there may be some key ones who wouldn't.  Could our QB?  It's really hard to say because the skill sets of Trevor Lawrence and Tom Brady are so completely different.  For this reason alone, I'm thinking it may not be worth trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.  We know for a fact that our current backup QB isn't the guy who is going fit with Belichick's system.

In addition to that, BB hasn't exactly been stellar with his draft picks over the years, and he is probably going to want full GM authority in that area.

Also, as has been brought up before my post, I'm not all that excited about his former OC.

So, while there is no doubt that Bill Belichick has presided over the greatest dynasty in the history of the league, I have my doubts about his ability to repeat such a thing here, especially now that he's in his 70's.

I do think there is still time to right the ship for 2024 if we win on Monday Night.  Doug is going to need to get things figured out fast though, or this season is going to go south very quickly.  If that happens, I hate to say it, but I will probably be OK if Shad starts looking to replace the entire staff - from the GM on down.

I live in Minnesota, and I followed the Vikings very closely during the years when Spielman was their GM.  IMO, he did a great job there.  His main shortcoming was that he was never able to find a QB, and that held him back from ultimate success.

He drafted Teddy Bridgewater, who led their team to the playoffs, before suffering a major knee injury in training camp the following year.  As a replacement, Spielman brought in Sam Bradford, who played very well, until he inevitably got hurt, as was often the case throughout the course of his career.

Other than his bad luck at the QB position, Spielman did a great job of drafting and putting together a coaching staff in Minnesota, and I think he could do some very good things for us in Jacksonville too.
If we continue to lose and we get another coach I want BB if we want a older experienced coach. If we want a young up and coming coach I want Klint Kubiac. Before the season the Saints oline ranked last. Kubiak brought in his system and Kamara amd Carr has turned back the clock and that oline looks like one of the better in the league. It's what great coaches can do with a great scheme and play call. They added Fuaga and the rest of that oline is the same yet it has been transformed so far early in the season. They also moved Fuaga who was a mauling RT to LT.
I was listening to ESPN radio while we were out and about and a promo for one of their sports talk shows came on: "...and we'll discuss why Doug Pederson may need to start updating his resume."

There r more articles, they have to be ragebait
Ya'll are insane if you want BB here. He's washed. No thank you.
Belichick will end up in Dallas at this rate. They won't really go anywhere with him either, being stuck with Dak. The ship can be turned around, lets not talk about firing anyone yet.. that is old culture and I am sick of that. We're at least competitive and not push overs every week. Lets not jump off the deep end yet.

Looks like this may have been premature.

I don't know it was one game we shall see how they look next week, they are 2-1. I like Slowik as well but the Texans looked like [BLEEP] against the Vikings.  Ben Johnson is another I like.
