Belicheck ? Not a good idea. Sure gives writers something to pontificate on and alumni Pats players some earning potential but that is about all. Look at the real life record. First, no Brady and he is a below average coach. With Brady he did great, well as long as he can have advantages over other teams. (doesn't take much at this level) Once these "advantages" were discovered and corrected he reverted to just another coach. Let's face it if you know what the other defense is doing how hard is it to call the perfect offensive play? The reverse is also true. "Pay no attention to the guy behind the screen Dorothy" He is also older less apt to relate to the younger players.
Out O-line coach is the only one at risk this year.

I don't know it was one game we shall see how they look next week, they are 2-1. I like Slowik as well but the Texans looked like [BLEEP] against the Vikings. Ben Johnson is another I like.
Brian Flores is the DC with the Vikings. Darnold is getting a lot of praise, and, rightfully so. However:
They held the Giants to 6, held the 49ers to 17, and beat them for the second year in a row, and they only gave up 7 yesterday.
That's a well coached defense with good schemes that just lost it's best defensive player in the off season with Danielle Hunter leaving for Houston.

I'd pass on Flores for HC

I wouldn't. Between what he did in Pittsburgh with Tomlin now early into his 2nd year with the Vikings? He's a great head coaching candidate.
I don't care about the comments Tua made. He didn't baby Tua. He held Tua accountable. They still managed to win games and he did that without guys like Tyreek Hill in his offense or Jalen Ramsey in his defense.
I also don't care about the defamation cases and allegations he mentioned a few years ago. I believe it has it's merit and there's some truth to that. I think Flores is underrated and he'll be a head coach again in the very near future.

Meh, pass. I don't think he gets a HC gig anywhere. He's a good DC. He never said anything about race until he got fired and then tried to pull the race card.

I'd look at Vrabel if we want a defensive coach and we don't want BB. It was impressive what he did with those Titans teams and he learned under the best. I think we end up going with one of the younger offensive minded coaches though like a Ben Johnson or Kubiak. I'd be happy with BB or Vrabel though.
I don't think Doug's job is in jeapardy... but Phil Rauscher's most definitely is.
And if Trent Baalke is complacent when it comes to offensive line production...he should go as well.
This team looks COMPLACENT. That's unacceptable in the NFL.
Yeah. To be fair. I don't think Doug's job is in jeopardy yet neither. I still think he can axe Rauscher as his O LINE coach and potentially Taylor as his OC before he loses his head first. Baalke needs to be the first person fired though in the off season if this whole team goes to [BLEEP].
If we move on from Doug, I want ZERO part of Bill Belichick. He's god awful at drafting, and he doesn't exactly always have the smartest assistant hires. See: Matt Patricia as OC.
If we have to move on, give me one of the young offensive minds: Ben Johnson or Slowik ideally
If the team goes 0-3 that seat has got a bonfire lit under it. If this team goes below .500 with the money Shad has spent, it is time for new leadership. Enough is enough
If Shad busts out the broom in January, and he cleans house? He might want to start with himself and hire a VP of Football Operations to do the job he cannot do as an owner. Do what Washington did. Spend the money on a good team that can put together a set of names that can run your football team at a VP level, a GM level and a HC level. Then go from there.
I’m sure we could lure Matt Rhule away from Nebraska.

No thanks. Matt Rhule is decent, but, Bobby Petrino is better. Maybe we could lure Nick Saban back into the NFL as well.

+1
Just a min ago I made a thread stating why and saw this.

He wanted to do that a few years ago and it seems like Baalke talked him out of it. He also did that before with Coughlin, he just chose the wrong guy.
If Shad cleans house, I would suspect that he would trust his initial instincts and go that route.
The idea of this thread is so dumb. It reeks of "college mentality" where fans expect a win every week. The team will eventually come around and start giving us some wins... though I'm not so confident about tonight.

I don't think that's what it is to be honest.
I think it's about seeing a competent football team for more than 2 quarters. It's about seeing change from the things that plagued this team down the stretch last year. None of it has changed. Execution problems, suspect play calls, suspect play designs, timely drops, horrendous run blocking etc
I think many of us were hoping for a change but I'm seeing the same problems play out again. Hopefully, tonight changes that.

I hope he didn't actually say what his lips looked like he was saying in this clip. It looks like he's saying something similar to this:

Jags fans at the moment:

If jags go 0-3 in blowout fashion tonight they need to pull a buffalo 2023 and send Taylor and rauscher packing tomorrow
