Quote:How would that fix the offense woes?
How would getting one of the best guards on the market help us on offense?
What are you expecting? Our offense hinges on an improved run game (which this team showed once Hackett took over) and Bortles fixing his mechanics. That isn't getting fixed in FA.

Sooooo dont get a good supporting cast for Blake or whomever, we should keep all our bad players until we get a good QB. I mean not like the Cowboys, Broncos or Seahawks built there teams before getting a good QB

Blake has a good supporting cast

Who is our starting LT and LG?

In FA? Who the hell are you expecting? Sign an over the hill/injury prone RB? Sign Martellus Bennett who just won a ring and may not give it his all here? What WR is an upgrade over ARob-Lee-Hurns? What RT besides Wagner who is getting 10-12M is better than Parnell when healthy (which he was last several games and played well, as Marrone and DC have said), etc.?
Like good god people. If we are going to fill 5-6 new starting spots through FA we are in the same position we have been the last 4 years and have little to look forward to next year. There isn't enough quality in FA to get more than 2-3 possible starters.
Our offense is just fine if we have an accurate QB. Our pass pro was very solid last year and the OL should be upgraded with a new OG and maybe moving Cann to LG with Albert at LT. Our TE group is the same, as JT did nothing for us. Our WR's as a unit hinges on Blake...our run game was top 5 in several categories once Hackett took over as OC and we'll likely look to upgrade there in the draft.
Quote:Blake has a good supporting cast
Yeah...he most certainly does. Lack a #1 TE, our OG spots (figure to get fixed in FA) are iffy, but what else is the problem here? You aren't going to have above average/great players at every spot across the depth chart. We have a very solid amount of talent on offense. It hinges on Blake fixing his mechanics/better QB play.
Quote:They will land Cousins. Book it.
I'on know.. I think thats kinda far fetched
Quote:Who is our starting LT and LG?
Brandon Albert and one of the FA guards (which he said we would get)/Cann moving to LG with a new RG via FA.
....

I deleted the 2/3 of rambling for you. Did you just not say signing a guard wouldn't help the offense?
Slight change of scheme and adding Campbell would be awesome. I'd even take a chance at 4th overall on a DE like Taco Charlton/Derek Barnett who is flying up boards.
Ngakoue Campbell Jackson Fowler
Charlton/Barnett Jones Day Smith
Woodard Marks Miller UDFA
That's a deep deep line guys.

?
Someone said we should sign a CB, top OG, and Campbell. A guy replied saying "So we aren't going to help Bortles and the offense?"
I replied saying how would getting Zeitler/Leary/Lang/Waford not help Blake and the rest of the offense when LG was one of our biggest holes? Move Cann to his natural LG position and put a very good RG where Cann was last year. Cann/Zeitler is muchhhh better than Onmameh/Cann (esp. when Cann is better at LG than RG where he's been playing).

Gotcha so the first part wasn't in reply to me.
I thought you were saying that a guard isn't going to make the team better so I was like um? That's my bad
Quote:Who is our starting LT and LG?
Brandon Albert is our LT, I dont know who our Lg will be
Pass protection isnt our problem, its run blocking. An improvement at rg helps that a lot, Brandon Albert is apparently a very good run blocker as well based on what everyone has been saying. Blake has a good supporting cast, hes just not good enough to take advantage of it.

Gotcha. Was so confused there for a minute.

I was thinking Jackson/Fowler- Day/Rookie/Bennett- Jones/Miller- Campbell/Yannick
How about we just split Bouye 12 ways and everyone that wants him can get a piece?

It's easier to keep track of the teams NOT interested in signing him.
