One big o-line off the board in Wagner.
49ers cut Marcus Martin.
He was linked in the 2014 draft as a potential Jag target.
Fortunately Wagner is one of the biggest pieces that there was no reason to suspect the Jags had any interest in. The hopes for the ones we do want are all still alive.
Campbell and Albert. Think people keep forgetting about him.
Quote:Congrats D6! Great signing for you guys. Losing Reiff won't sting so much now.
Thanks, Treestone Ice!
If the Ricky Wagner signing becomes official, I think he would be an upgrade over Riley Reiff as a pass blocker, which is extremely important considering the value of Matthew Stafford. I'm not sure if Wagner would be an upgrade as a run blocker. With the Lions O-Line likely having youth at the other 4 starting positions, having a veteran on the Line definitely is a priority of GM Bob Quinn.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports there is a "strong likelihood" the Cowboys release Tony Romo on Thursday.
Quote:So logically Zeitler should be cheaper right?
Also Detroit now has bookends? Or two right tackles? I thought Decker was the RT
Taylor Decker ended up starting every Lions Offensive snap at LT as a rookie. He was a major reason the Lions made the playoffs. As a rookie, Decker exceeded my expectations, especially considering how difficult the position is at the NFL level.
Quote:Dang good on Detroit. Id like to see us signing Reiff to five Parnell some competition.
IMO, if the Jaguars sign Riley Reiff, barring injury he will be the starting RT unless he's needed at LT.

Love it.
I'll be really bummed if we don't sign everybody.
"In the mix" is a good start on day two of rumor-time I guess.
Exactly. No way we get um all. But we have plenty of room since we trading everyone to patriots.

Being that we finally have an "agreed in principle" offer out there, I would expect to hear a few more coming.
Gimme Zeitler and decent Dline guy and I'm happy. Devin Taylor/Sheard maybe. Calais would be nice too.

<p class="">ESPN confirms: Tony Romo will be cut tomorrow.
I don't know Houston's cap situation but doesn't them potentially going after Romo pretty much mean they won't be able to afford Bouye back?
Hoyer to niners According to the Chicago Tribune, "indications at this point" are that free agent Brian Hoyer will sign with the 49ers.
