Didn't people want to give Robert Ayers more than $10 million/year last year? I'd rather have Calais Campbell than Robert Ayers.
Ayers had 29 tackles, 8 assisted tackles, and 6.5 sacks last year. Campbell had 53 tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 8 sacks, and 1 INT last year.
Also Jason La Confora just tweeted that he continues to hear that the Jaguars a potential landing spot for A.J. Bouye!
Quote:Nah, Malik took a long time then happened really fast
The contract was done up on the night of the 7th , announced on the 8th
Lots being made about Bouye, Cambpell and others picking contenders over Jax.
99 times out of 100 though -- these guys just follow the
money.
Quote:Saw something on nfl's tv channel earlier today....the rules for the period have been 'reinforced' with the teams and certified agent about no contracts to be signed or contracts in principle to be announced until Thursday 4pm. If we get any news, it will likely be leaks only.
Well that stinks. Oh well it's only 2 days.

Meh, you hear that every year

We are a contender! Don't these guys realize this???? - *crickets*.......

yep, there is no doubt we go after most of the top guys every year.

They were talking on 1010 today that really, who have we missed at when we were the highest bidder? Vernon and that's really it.
So it seems like we're on the Bouye train also.

<p class="">G with 0 sacks allowed and 0-1 hits allowed last year: M.Yanda, J.Mewhort, T.Lang, K.Long, J.Sitton, Patrick Omameh(just re-signed with JAC)
Quote:Omameh resigns with us
I like it!
Cool with me. Now let's get one or two of these other guys!
Is our 90 man roster full. so we have to cut someone for every signing?
Have any teams talked to Beachum? I'd definitely be open to bringing him back.
Per Ryan O Thinkin' #Jaguars all-in on Bouye/Campbell and then have a limit to how high they go for a guard. Have Omameh/Reed/draft pick as plan B
So oline still gonna suck huh?

Right? It's amazing to me they neglect the OL year after year. "The team around [Bortles] needs to be better". Well then how about you actually address the OL instead of putting bandaids on it every year. The line might be even worse next year than it was this year.
