Framework of Andrew Whitworth deal between Rams and @_SportsTrust: 3 years, $36M, $15M guar, including $2.5M guar in Year 2.
so be higher or around 15 for zeitler
No, not really because guard and left tackle money is totally different

Quote:Noooooooooooooooooooooooo! He should've been priority #1.
You should only pay so much for a G, they prob did want to go too high, its other good G's out there

So I guess zeitler to New Orleans?
This feels like national Signing Day to me.

I'd normally agree. But with our line depth and status, a great G would be just as valuable now as a great T. So I'm ok with overpaying for a great G right now.

Browns working on their OL. They're working to sign G/C JC Tretter, source says. Former Packers starter at center.
Darn Tretter is the one I wanted, not that I had any feeling the Jags were considering it.

This has to mean Zeitler to Saints right?

Not necessarily. They have 100 million dollars in cap space. They could give Bitonio the extension, sign Tretter, get Zeitler, and still lead the league in cap space.

Unless the Jags swoop in at the last minute.
Report: Bears to sign Joel Bitonio to “monster” deal
Posted by Mike Florio on March 9, 2017, 11:02 AM EST

At a time when teams are finalizing deals for 2017 free agents, the Browns have ensured that one of their offensive linemen won’t be a 2018 free agent.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Browns are signing guard
Joel Bitonio to a “monster” extension.

Good job on the screw up Florio.
Quote:I said it yesterday... if the Jags can pull of Church, Campbell, Bouye, and Zeitler then that is a homerun in FA.
I want to get excited about these guys as much as anyone, but I look at the near half billion dollars we've spent in free agency over the last half decade or so, I see the results here and around the league, and I can't help but to wonder if all or any of these guys are going to be worth it.
Debbie downer aside, it does certainly appear, on paper at least, to be a monumental increase in the talent on our team if everything goes as planned.
I am a little concerned at losing one of Telvin, Linder, Arob, or even Bottles if he gets his act together, because of the amount we're spending now, but that's really not something I understand or get paid to care about anyway, so whatever.
Seems like Romo to Houston will happen.
I know I said I wanted him here but I'd also love to see him get hit by Calais Campbell a few times this year. See how his back deals with that.
Brownies could set up nicely with Tretter and Zeitler additions, plus Watson @ 12 and Mixon at 33.
