"DONG!!!! Where is my.. auto-mo-bile?!?"
Blackmon can't help the fact that literally everything Gene touches turns to poo.

The Gene touch....similar to the Midas touch, except with excrement instead of Gold.
Quote:is he a Jaguar? technically he is,we can talk about him. Get over it.

No my friend, you need to get over 'it'...

'It' is not coming back.
Only way Blackmon comes back is if he's extradited..

I said it a long time ago......

The alcohol destroyed him, no question.

Quote:Blackmon is better than Cooper

At getting high, maybe.
The worst part is he had the talent.

Matt Jones..yeah he was ok when he committed himself half [BLEEP].

Reggilution? 8 yard gain dancing was great....

But Blackmon was as good on the NFL field as he was in college. That's what hurts. He had sooo much potential.

He decided to throw it away, it was his decision so I can't be mad at him. At least Gene had the foresight to write a decent contract to not screw us when he screwed up...

Quote:HEY HAS ANYONE HEARD WHEN BLACKMON IS COMING BACK. I WANT TO BUY HIS JERSEY BUT I DON'T WANT TO JUMP THE GUN.
Maybe he'll give you his...........it's not like he's ever going to use it again.
Quote:im guessing he doesnt go out in public too much and if one does ask him he probably just give them some sort of no comment type response. the team might have a .....cant think of the term, maybe someone can help out, but a clause where he cant discuss the matter.
you mean like a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement)? Not only that, but since he was in treatment, the HIPPA Law comes into play, not to mention the NFL's privacy policy as well
If the team has moved on what reason do they have to keep him on the 53? It is still 53 right?
Suspended doesn't count against the 53

HIPAA doesn't apply, the patient is always free to disclose. As far as league policy, I've not seen a league policy and an NDA would really be the only legal factor and that only if he's planning to come back. I don't think the league would be interested in taking a suspended player to court for taking about his treatment.

For one thing he doesn't count against the 53.

Yeah that was it. On the tip of my tongue. Thank you.

Exactly.  HIPAA puts it completely on the patient to decide who knows what about their medical information.  If a reporter approached him to ask about his recovery or reinstatement, he is the only person who can legally answer questions related to his health unless he gives someone else that authorization.
Quote:Obviously, just by looking at how fat he is seems to indicate he has a serious case of the munchies for a couple of years now. What a waste....

I'm still not entirely convinced that the guy with the fat belly in the casino was him.

The reason why he hasn't been outright 'released' is because if he were released he could be picked up by another team; and unlikely as it may seem, it is possible that if picked up by another team that he could get in shape and become a weapon used against us. Nothing would hurt like seeing the guy we had end up excelling for someone else. Furthermore, since keeping his contract doesn't count against the roster there's no harm to the team by retaining him the full duration of his contract. Bottom line: as long as we hold that contract, he can't play for someone else.

But he doesn't HAVE to disclose anything to anyone due to HIPPA, nor can anyone receive details without approval...There has been countless posts and statements about the leagues privacy policy within the substance abuse program stating that it's kept PERSONAL and PRIVATE...
