I love house hunters international for the scenery. I don't care about the people anymore. Sadly Netflix only does "collections" of hgtv shows, other than the one with Chip & Joanna Gaines, so you only get what hgtv considers the best episodes.
Black Sails is wrapping up here in about two or three weeks I think. It's kind of been a snooze fest this year other than one episode. Hopefully they've got a few tricks up there sleeves towards the series finale.

Quote:lol... i watched quite a bit of BBC. i actually liked ripper street there for a while but i think it got cancelled. top gear was also one i have watched for a while. sad to see it go but glad to see the boys get a new show on amazon. Jermey Clarkson is hilarious IMO but James May is [BAD WORD REMOVED] head lol.

Quote:We get a lot of decent shows on BBC. I'd have to disagree with you on Top Gear.. I don't like any of the presenters nor the concept, but I'm not hugely interested in cars.. apart from the fact that I have one that I like haha..
Did either of you watch Copper on BBC? I thought it was really good. 2 really good seasons and then just cancelled. Was not happy.

No I can't say I did... I'm not sure I've even heard of that one..
Not into Network TV too much.. If it's late at night, I may watch a rerun of Big Bang.. Bout it..
We power-watched our way through the first two season of "Man in the High Castle" a couple weeks ago.  I thought it was pretty interesting.  Never read the source novel but I'm familiar with his other works, so had a feeling it would be pretty good.

Don't make fun of me, but I really like this new show, Riverdale

Anyone watching The Expanse

I've seen a few episodes on Amazon. Need to get back into it. I liked what I saw so far. It has a Total Recall feel to it meaning the environment and such, not necessarily the storyline.

I'm binge watching the flunk out of it right now and I'm hooked.

It's GoT in space.

Sweet, thanks. I really liked it but it got a little lost in the shuffle. I'll pick it back up.

My favorite show of all time is BSG, so it'll be right up my alley.

For real? Is that on Hulu or Netflix?

It's on Amazon for sure. Not on Netflix. I don't know about Hulu.
Quote:I had to give up on Ballers. Way too formulaic for me.

I just started The Travelers on Netflix. It has my attention so far.
I started watching this last week. Interesting so far.
Six got picked up for a second season.
I stumbled onto first time flippers on diy network and if you're in need of a cheap laugh or two check it out.

It's almost like a highlight reel of people almost shooting themselves with nail guns, dropping cabinets on their heads, and learning the hard way that you measure 2 times and cut once.

Rectify, have any of you seen it? It's not for everyone but I really like it. Season four is out on Netflix and I just watched the first episode. Wow. Powerful stuff. If you like a show that is very much character driven and takes it's time with the storytelling you will probably like it. I can't even think of another show to compare it to. IMDB says if you like it you will also like The Killing, Bloodline, Top of the Lake and a few others. I've seen these other shows and they follow the same storytelling format in that they take their time, but none come close to Rectify in how intricate everything is. And the emotional impact in some of the episodes, specifically S4E1, it knocks you off your feet and you really have to sit and think about it for a while.

Vikings

Versailles

The Tudors

The Crown

Madmen

Hell on Wheels

Deadwood

Plus, I really like documentaries or historical re-enactments that play on a variety of channels.

Shows of that type are what I like the most. I know some of them have already "been and gone", but can be streamed on Netflix, OnDemand, etc.
