Quote:knee jerk react? How do you know he dosent want to just see Bortles with the first team? That dosent necessarily mean he wants him to start.
Exactly. I want to see how he would look playing with the starters. And for your info TMD, I am in the playing him if he gives us the best chance to win crowd.
Lol will somebody just say they want Bortles to start right now so TMD can get his " I'm smarter than everyone in the room " speech over with?

Be honest. You saying "I am in the starting Bortles if he gives us the best chance to win crowd" is really just the "start Bortles now" crowd, because in reality, he does give the Jags the best chance to win over a guy like Henne.

The problem is - the coaches know that just because Bortles is better already, doesn't mean that he's ready to be installed permanent starter. They need to get him enough repetitions with the workover in fundamentals that they are giving him, that it becomes second nature within the muscle memory. They don't want him reverting back to bad habits and thats what indeed could happen with an insertion into the starting lineup thats too quick.
Quote:Yawn.....you're probably just miffed because you are one of the start Bortles now! crowd, right?

Its amazing, we finally got a coach here thats doing QB development right, and some still complain. I guess they learned nothing from past blunders of head coaches we've had.
So because we had a crappy QB that never had or was never going to develop any stones, we're using that as justification for anything they do with Bortles? Gotcha.

I guess all QBs develop at the same pace.

no.. They said if he's ready he will start.

Worst. Comparison. Ever. (In the comic book guys voice)
Quote:All he said was "lame" and that he hoped he would get time in the third game. How is that anything like that?
His high IQ allows him the ability to read between the lines.

it's incredible really

Considering it was a one line post, yes indeed.

hey FBT... Cyprien is gonna be a beast and a cornerstone for our franchise

right, because its impossible to read between the lines to get the gist of what someone is really saying. I guess I just have a gift for it.

So what you're really saying is that "I have no idea what I'm talking about and I just like to make things up so I can act as if I'm smarter than everyone else"
If Bortles does well this week, like as well as he did last week, I bet he starts Game 3. Depending on how he does that game will probably decide how soon we see him in the regular season or not.

I want to see him get a chance with our starters but more importantly against the starting defnse of an opposing team. I want to se if he can duplicate his performance he had against the Buc's back ups. No need to interpret more than that.

Hammer, meet nail.

Gifted isn't the word that comes to mind.

Quote:can't be serious with what?...

Ross isn't on the plane back to Jax.

Connect the dots.

The meeting was short up there with Ross because Khan was never serious about hiring him to begin with. Just fulfilling the Rooney rule requirement. Khan already had his mind made up to hire Caldwell, and per the news recently - Khan is leaning on keeping Mularkey, so those go hand in hand. Ross was a guy that wants to clean house as evidenced from his Jets interview. Khan don't want that.

so, yeah, i am disgusted.

Quote:Actually, out of all the possible GM candidates, if Caldwell was hired, that would be more evidence that Mularkey would stay, and that Caldwell was chosen because he would keep Mularkey. If you don't recall, Caldwell was in Atlanta when Mularkey was there. Connect the dots.

"Special"... perhaps.  But certainly not gifted.

There he is, creepy save all of my posts guy....

Seriously...the depth that you go to argue on a message board to the point of saving posts as old a 4 years and beyond (earlier today you posted one where I made a wrong comment on Pete Carroll upon his hiring in Seattle)...is just beyond creepy. Seek help.

He'll never grasp that point, but you're 100% correct.
